Ivan Johnson joins Mavs

The 6-8 Johnson, who spent two years with Atlanta before bouncing around overseas, signed a contract to join the Dallas Mavericks at training camp in late September.

Johnson spent last season in China. Before that he made stops in Korea, which did not end well, Puerto Rico and Brunei.

The Dallas Mavericks have signed forward Ivan Johnson after he started all five games for their summer league team.

Johnson averaged 7.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in the Las Vegas league. The contract was announced on Tuesday.
