Jeff Teague or Mario Chalmers?

So there was a top 10 PG thread a little bit ago, like a month or so, and everyone was listing their top 10 PGs.

Some had chalmers at 10, and those that didn't would be bitched at with "Where is Chalmers?"

Curious on how underrated Teague is right now.

This is what I am saying.

During last year's season, I stated Teague was almost at all-star level and I was bombarded by Heat fans claiming Chalmers were better. I didn't take them serious until the top 10 PG thread.

Teague put up 17/5/7 last season and has improved every year... literally... as the leader....with horford injured.... who is the best player on the team.

They had to put Paul George on Jeff Teague because George Hill could not guard.

Not even John Wall, much less Mario Chalmers, forced Indiana to do that.

If Teague improves again this year, then the Hawks are pretty much a lock to get back into the playoffs.

The Hawks are going to need more from him, since we had a bad off-season.

If Teague plays like he played in the playoffs last year, then yeah he might be top 10 at the position. Not really an insult to leave him out because of the depth of the position. After the top 5-6 the rest of the list becomes a toss up.

Yeah forgot about them. Wall is a big mistake, easily a top tier PG. I'd take Lowry over Teague as well. Now that I think about it with how deep the PG position is Teague may be closer to 14-15 for me than 10.

Chalmers isn't even remotely close to Teague at all, doubt there's a person who thinks otherwise.

chalmers was garbage with the best player in history. Feltons game was affected due to having a scrub team and two chuckers of melo and Jr. If he had the looks chalmers had, the heat would have won the finals.

Chalmers was the worst starting point guard in the league last year. But he also had essentially zero opportunity to run the team, as everything went through Lebron or Wade. This could be his season to prove himself - but he won't be anywhere near Teague level.

Lawson is clearly better than Teague. Better scorer, better shooter, better passer. Even has played better than Teague in the playoffs. Defensively is the only thing you could argue for Teague and he probably is better defensively, but neither stand out. Lawson even grabs more boards than.
