View Full Version : Would you want your team to give beasley a chance?

He's working out with the Lakers today, who i believe only have their vet minimum left (or something like that) Meaning, beasley is aware a nice pay day in not in his immediate future. With that being said, teams can go after him for a low risk/high reward option

His game is evident by now. Not much of an outside shooter, but is efficient in the 15 ft and closer spots. Its just his personality/ lack of maturity(?) that keeps him from finding a consistent spot on a team

is he worth a look from your franchise?

Yes.

What risk is he? I didn't hear stories of Beasley tearing apart the Heat locker room.

Bring him in as a 99% upside guy. Only 1% of that is risk, if he's a vet min salary. He has so much talent, I'd love for the Bulls to give him a shot. Strong leadership and work ethic is already in place on that team.

Im so nba'd out

Shit defender, but can provide instant offense if he comes off the bench.

really bad defender. Plays offense like he has no teammates.

Would be a great 6th man for the bulls.

Nah wouldn't fit right in detroit. maybe he can be a back up SF but there is no one there to keep him in line.

Nah, we're deep at the SF already. Iggy - Green - Barnes.

Sometimes teams need that sort of offense off the bench. Particularly if it can be semi-harnessed by a strong coach/system.

And to Cash, he would be good off the bench for the Bulls, but I wouldn't say 6th man. More of a heat-check guy, IMO. Bring him on as the second forward off the bench (after Taj) and give him a total green light. If he doesn't light it up, he's back to the bench. But if he gets hot, ride it.

We already have Larry Sanders. No thanks.

And Jabari & Giannis are both our wings of the future, no need to add another one.

Already gave him multiple chances, he has little to no concept of system offense or defense. He still believes he can play like he's in AAU or in a Rec league.

Hell no.

Want no part of that headcase, especially when we got a couple of rookies who probably more potential on being productive in Toronto in the upcoming years. Wouldn't even take him over James Johnson and starting is out of the question.

Not much of an outside shooter? He's shot career highs of .461 from 10-16ft, .451 from beyond 16ft and .407 from 3pt. Last year he had a def rating of 105, the same as Lebron, while putting up 18.9 on 50% shooting and grabbing 7.5 boards per 36 mins. If the Lakers can get this guy for the league min that is a bargain

James Johnson is a decent enough player who should of got more minutes with Memphis...he showed a lot of promise on the offensive end with Memphis and I wish Chicago took him back on a minimum deal as his defense was always solid.

Very underrated player.

Lakers would take anyone at this point tbh...

And the Beasley overrating continues. This is the guy that can put up numbers on a bad team, on a contender? i see him as a 7th/8th man thats if he gets his head right. Otherwise he is just the biggest ballstopper i've witnessed and his d is atrocious

Hopefully it would be a one year deal for minimal money. They are thin at small forward. If the team was good I'd say no but they got nothing to lose at this point.

wouldn't mind him for the min
