When I watched it I was speechless. I don't think there are many missed actions, that qualify to " if this one was successful, it would go into history as the xxxxest of all time".
Imho this one qualifies and if it went in it would have been the best alley oop dunk in history,

I thought it was an impressive catch. He's coming off a curl, the inbounder doesn't just lob it off the backboard, he ****ing launches that thing from that kind of angle and it lands pretty cleanly in his hand. Nice pass, tho. Looks like it would have been a .4 play.

Instead, I feel the fact that Dell Curry, a former pitcher and 14th round draft pick of the Baltimore Orioles, rocketed the ball off the glass with such force that it more or less left Vince with little choice but to reel it in however he could. I think the extension was necessary to gather the ball without ricochet.

That said, respect to Wardell for such an impressive pass.

The miss allows us to use our imagination to decide how incredible it actually would have been, and the possibilities are endless. It almost reminds me of how sometimes actors or musicians are given a historic boost when they pass before or during their prime.
