IMO I'll go with:

PG: Nick Van Exel
SG: Latrell Sprewell
SF: Jamal Mashburn
PF: Vin Baker
C: Alonzo Mourning

My backcourt's got attitude problems like a mf but they're good. There's more good choices, what's your lineup in your opinion?

Very underrated. I came into this thread to post about him. Fellow DePaul alumn too ... the others are good calls as well. Beautiful post.

I think Steve Smith, Tim Hardaway, Terrell Brandon, Chris Mullin, Latrell Spreewell, Kevin Johnson, Michael Finley, Dan Majerle, Richard Dumas, Mark Price, Cliff Robinson, Kevin Willis, Otis Thorpe, Brad Daugherty, Allan Houston, Vin Baker, Jamal Mashburn, Jim Jackson, Glen Rice, Glenn Robinson, Nate McMillan, Vernon Maxwell, Detlef Shremp, Anthony Mason, Antonio Davis, Dale Davis, Kendall Gill, Kenny Anders and Mookie Blaylock are all tremendously underrated.

It's a CRIME that Strickland never made an All-Star team. I think he was the best PG of his era getting to the paint off the bounce. He could also score very well too. If Earl Monroe wanted to be a pure PG, I think Strickland would be the guy most similar to that.

U listed some tremendous names as well! And they are all underrated in different tiers as well. For example guys like Strick, Dumas, and Gill never made an All Star team. Based on the standards of the HOF, Tim Hardaway should be in already in my opinion. Chris Mullin peak wise has a case as a top 10 SF ever. Nate McMillian may be a top 10 perimeter defender ever. And on the sneak tip, Anthony Mason redefined the SF position. Big Dog Robinson likely has one of the top 10 scoring skillsets ever for a SF. In all these cases, unless u are a student of the game, these very talented players and examples of their skills go unoticed and underappreciated!

Under-rated? Like, SERIOUSLY under-rated. As in under-rated in the 90s, or just forgotten because new generations come in and don't know shit? *hint* don't name all-stars and all-nba teamers. Those guys were [by a minimum] fairly rated, thus the accolades.

PG: Rod Strickland is a good one, so is Damon Stoudamire
SG: Nick Anderson
SF: Calbert Cheaney
PF: Brian Grant
C: Benoit Benjamin

Nice list of players. I came in here to post JJ (Bucks FTW!)

Sprewell and Finley were awesome, as were most of the guys you mentioned.

Blaylock was a beast, as was T-Rex (Willis)

I'll go with:

Mookie
Mashburn
Jackson
Willis
Daughtery

Lot's of the players being mentioned and put into lineups are far from underrated.

Rex Chapman/Hersey Hawkins
Terry Porter
Excellent choices, forgot myself.

Rex had a flame thrower jumper.
Hawkins had a jumper, and defense.
Porter was just a great scoring PG.
