Because Bosh might be able to play his game. I miss seeing him play.

Maybe because he won't be relegated to being a spot-up shooter anymore, and can go back to being the superstar that he always was.

How could anybody possibly criticize what he said there?

These men strive with adversity. It's what got them to the pros. My guess is it's a chance and a challenge for them to try and overcome?

Sometimes, that "chip" he speaks of gives them a reason. Ya know?

But he's already stated that his "post-up and battling for rebounds" days are over. Said it takes too much out of him to be effective on defense.

What's he going to different now than what he was doing?

Pretty sure it means after the loss he's regained the motivation to win that they had before they won 2 titles in a row

This. Its pathetic watching him become a spot up shooter. Except him to get back to at least 20 ppg now that he has space to move.

Having the bulls eye on his back for the last 4yrs, should be more than enough to play with a chip on his shoulder, no?

Now he can go back to the good old days of putting up empty stats while missing the playoffs. :applause: :facepalm
This is why Lebron left, cause Bosh and Wade got lazy and decided going for a 3 peat wasn't enough motivation.

What's funny is that Bosh should have had a chip on his shoulder the entire time he's been in Miami. Lets be honest, no one has ever truly respected him as a member of the big 3, not even other players. Prior to their playoff series against the Nets Joe Johnson said that after Lebron and Wade the Nets were a much better basketball team than the Heat. :lol
If Joe Johnson disrespecting him so flagrantly didn't light a fire under Bosh, then nothing will.

Bosh is a very good power forward that was screwed by Spo and the coaching staff who made him the number 3 option. He averaged between 18 and 16 points on insane efficiency as a third option. He made the most of the system the bs coaches were running.

If Spo had an ounce of knowledge and balls he would have made Bosh the second option in terms of play calling, and it would have worked out better for everyone involved. Bosh will have fun next year as Wade may give the Heat 65+ games, but after that? Its Toronto bosh all over again with him playing with a team of scrubs and wade sitting out 2 games a week.

Basically lebron was his crutch , he feels like kobe, shaq and all other players that have that high profile player by their side to not want to hear any talk about it was all them that caused the team to win .now they out to prove they can win without the other person.just like a damn boy band .

I can not see how this team finishes worst than 2nd in the East, and get back to the Finals for a 5th straight time.

We lost James, Allen (possibly), and Lewis but the rest of our principal players are back including the coaching staff.

We replaced James with Deng, who is a better fit as we no longer have to play "Lebron ball", and Granger and McRob should be an okay replacement for Allen and Lewis.

The only real threat is Chicago (Indy never was), but I still don't think they take us to more than about 5 games in the ECF.

I agree except for the bolded. The difference in talent between James and Deng is so big that 'fit' is almost irrelevant.

Health, rebounding (less now with Deng and MCBob) and point guard play will continue to be concerns but the Heat should be near the top of the East next season.

If miami makes it further than cleveland this would actually be hilarious.

True. But ISH told us that "Lebron ball" causes players like Bosh and Wade to be turned into role players.

So while the difference between Deng and James is not even close, Deng will allow Wade and Bosh to go back to being Superstars-therefore the Heat should still come out on top.

Addition by subtraction.

If the Cavs get K-Love, they're the favorite. If not, it's between them, the Bulls and the Heat. If Rose regains 2011 form, then with Gasol and Super-Thibs, the scale probably tips to Chicago.

Of course if Wade were to regain 2011 form...

The more I thought about this post, I'm not so sure.

If Bosh is being motivated more by losing last season and wants some redemption, then why was he so close to signing with Houston? Why want to leave Miami?

I think it's fair to say that he re-signed with Miami, instead of Houston, because of the $$$. Not because of a chip on his shoulder or having something to prove.

I like your optimism but I don't agree with the "addition by subtraction" regarding LeBron. He's just too good of a player and that logic is too simplistic. A lot obviously depends on Wade's health and Bosh's adjustment back to a more prominant role. I like Bosh's attitude though and hopefully it permeates through to the rest of the team (cough, cough, Wade).

Hey Yo

Because he knows how easy they had it, shamelessly stacked up like they were. Their "victories" just aren't that impressive or worthy of respect.
When you win as the Finals underdog (2012), it's impressive. Especially being a backdoor sweep.

Even though Bosh was relegated to spot up shooter the last 4 years, thats a skill that he didn't have prior to Miami, now take that and add it to the skills he used before and he should have a very good season next year.

Highly doubt he gets nearly the wide open looks next season as he did the previous 4

This.

I think Bosh will go back to been the BoshRaptors but the most problem here is Wade health. He is too injured most of the time and this time he cant ride Lebron coattails.

I agree with you here - the only issue being that Wade having to shoulder more burden again could adversly affect his health. It all hinges on whether he can continuously produce night in night out at the highest level, otherwise I don't see Miami being a real threat.

He has the right attitude and the game to back it up when he plays aggressively. Another team with a different look this year, so it'll be interesting to me. I wonder how much Wade has in him...
