View Full Version : Do you think Lebron deserved his last 2 season MVPs?

I don't think so. In 2012 and 2013 he definitely didn't deserve his mvps especially with the stacked teams that he had. What do you think?

Melo should have won back to back instead

His teams were decent, but not stacked. If you want to see a stacked team take a look at Melo's 2013 Knicks. Set an all time record for made 3 pointers in a season! Plus the sixth man of the year. Talk about stacked!

2013 he deserved it. 2012 Durant deserved it.

Not sure, I don't care for accolades when evaluating players.

It's pretty cool that the key members of his Heat teams stayed together. Looking forward to seeing how well they play with LeBron. Goes both ways, since they could boom or bust.

There is no group of real basketball fans or people affilated with the game who wouldnt have given Lebron the MVP if polled about it in 2013.

27/8/7 2 steals and a block, shoot 57%, with 41% from 3, and win 66 games?

You win MVP barring a travesty of some sort. Especially with no strong #2 to steal votes.

You argue that the version of Wade from 2013 was MVP vote worthy in comparison to Lebron you shouldnt be allowed to make topics.

With ease, and should have had 3 straight. ****in' Rose MVP was garbage.

Fat boy Melo will never even make an All-NBA first team. :oldlol:

Melo was the MVP when the Knicks won 54 games.

Look at his support and then look at how much they overachieved.

True story indeed.

Yes, both of them should've been unanimous decisions. He was the clear MVP every year since 2009 (the year Rose got it was a disgrace).

Yes I think he deserved it and I rooted against the Heat the whole time. His efficiency for a wing player was through the freakin' roof. It was amazing that he was hovering around 50% in his last few years in Cleveland, then he went to Miami and his field goal percentage jumped by like 7%. Insane.

Yes I think he deserved him and I even rooted against the Heat when he left. His efficiency shot through the roof and he put up insane numbers for a wing player.

yeah he did, but he didnt have much competition being rose was injured.

He definitely deserved both, but he should've gotten robbed in 2012 if that makes any sense. His case that season wasn't as overwhelmingly strong as it was in other years he should've gotten '93 MJ'd.

The only having a "stacked team" hurts your MVP case is if another player on your team takes away some votes. For example West and Chamberlain in 1970 split a lot of votes and Willis Reed won it.

Didn't even finish 2nd the year Rose won.

Clear cut winner for both awards.

He was in a perfect situation.

But they should take away his 2010 MVP instead.

Which was stupid. People bought into the idea that Lebron "gave up" his chances at individual awards by signing with Miami, that along with the Decision is the ONLY reason he didn't get it. He was still the best player in the league both statistically and impact wise by a long shot that year. The Bulls winning a few more games than the Heat didn't make up for the fact that Lebron was better than Rose in every category that year.

Miami only won 27 games in a row in 2013, no big deal. :sleeping

You say the reasons why he didn't deserve it but don't give out any other names except for Melo. He was one vote from unanimous in '13 I think so everyone agreed he should've won that one. I don't remember how the '12 regular season played out but I'm guessing no one was pushing LeBron except KD.

lebron is much like prime shaq. going by stats and other achievements he's pretty clearly the league MVP every year... just that things get boring that way so there's a natural inclination to spread it around a little.

He deserved them more than anybody else, I don't see the arguments.

Rose had so many obstacles and Lebron tried to eliminate every obstacle and still didn't have a better record. Rose had more assist per game, btw. Lebron and Wade got in each other's way a lot that year. If Lebron was not on that team they still should have been the second seed. Lebron wanted the easy road while Rose had all types of road blocks. Yeah, that will always affect you in life.

As much as I don't like him, in my opinion he deserved all his MVP's but 09. 2010 Wade was the best player but record wise he had no chance, so I would go with Lebron.

And since 2009 LeBron was pretty close to the best player ever, this should make 12 and 13 LOCKS.
