:facepalm

The NBA HAS GOT to do something about the playoff system. The East is looking like it's going to be a complete joke again while the West will be a BLOODBATH.

Wiggins is a star?

Tough blow. Love raises the chances of an East team winning the championship this year though, at least.

Wiggins is a star?

The Cavaliers almost refused to trade him for a borderline top 10 player in Love....

And he's just 19 years old.

Hopefully Noel and Embiid can stay healthy. They'd be fun to watch together.

The Bucks look promising, though their team comp is a little odd right now with their 2 best players projecting best at the SF position.

Overall though, the East is a total crapshoot. The 2nd best player in that conference (Rose) is barely a top 10 player in the West at the moment...

More west cawk sucking? The east is as good if not better.

Here in the east, we play a little something called defense.

Chokc, clips, rockets, gsw would get demolished from the best east teams. Go watch the all star game to see the petty offense of the west get exposed.

This year, cavs, bulls, wiz, raps, hawks, nets, Knicks are all title contenders. West fanboys need to stop.

Heat will be solid. Still probably a 50 win team.

Hornets will be real good this year imo. Kemba, Lance, Al Jeff & the crew of young players getting better should be formidable.

Wizards can only get better. Young team with their core still in tact, Pierce is an upgrade to Ariza. Raps should be good. We know about Chicago, and Cleveland. It's not all bad in the East. Still getting better.

So a superstar comes to the East, and an unproven rookie goes to the West.

Sounds like more balance to me

You're calling Wiggins a star already but Parker, Noel, and Embiid are all in the East too. I seriously doubt Wiggins has star impact this year.

Kevin Love wasn't a superstar in the West at all.

Unless you're talking about what he will be in the East.

24/12 is a superstar, and even better offensive production than your boy Westbrook

If he's not a superstar, neither is Paul George

I agree, George nor Love are super-stars. They are stars, but they aren't in the same mentions of LeBron or Kobe or Durant. They're a tier below those players in my mind.

They are all in the same tier as players, unless of course it doesn't fit the agenda.

Ok fair, so now I know you won't be saying that LeBron has superstar help when the Cavs are winning.

Pretty much. But it's still better than not even making the playoffs in the West though. No matter how you spin it.

Westbrook and George are both great two way players. Love doesn't compare to them at all.

lol @ superstars being relative to the conference :facepalm

None of the guys mentioned ITT are real superstars. PG, Westbrook, and love are all just stars. If you want to call Westbrook a superstar, then Durant is a dude who can't lead his superstar stacked team to a title. Paul George is not a superstar. Nobody who doesn't watch basketball know who he is, aside from maybe the fact that he broke his leg

Are you saying the Wolves wouldn't make the playoffs in the east? If so, the east must be tougher than we thought, right? Which is it?

I'll let it go but you're trying REAL hard to prop up the west (so by default the Wolves too) while at the same time trashing Kevin Love. The effort is admirable but it's just not working.

Kevin Love is a top 10 player in the East, yeah. Not sure about the West.

Please list all the players who have averaged 25/10 in the last decade.

And when you've done that, try listing all the players who have led the league in rebounding and won the 3-point shootout.

I think you'll find that both lists are rather short ...

Yeah, you can put up some cool looking numbers on a box score when you don't play defense.

this isn't really news :confusedshrug:

Durant
Westbrook
Davis
Griffin
Curry
Paul
Lillard
Harden
Dwight
Aldridge

Are all from the West and all better than Love. And I could probably keep going.
