Love's departure leaves us with a nice solid rebuild going forward.
Rubio / Mo Williams / Barea
Martin / Lavine / Muhammad / Shved
Wiggins / Muhammad / Budinger / Mbah a Moute
Young / Bennet
Pekovic / Dieng / Turiaf
red: probably getting traded to Philly for Young
We gon' be paying nothing to these young impact players, what a turn-around! This looks a lot like Phoenixes quick rebuild last season.
Much better team than we ever were with Love.
Thank you Based Flip Saunders.

Lavine needs to start immediately. Him and Wiggins are your cornerstones of the future.

The issue is dumping Martin's contract and if Flip is serious about wanting to 'win now' (he's dumb enough so I think he's being serious). Can see nobody taking Martin's contract and we let him get majority of the minutes at the 2 next season.

Getting Wiggins is one of the greatest returns ever for a player who is 100% leaving. He still has to pan out of course but getting him plus another player in Bennett with potential, some 1sts.....its a best case scenario for Minny.
Phx nor Minny will make the playoffs this year. Phx i think takes a tiny step back possibly because they no longer can sneak up on anyone. Minny just doesn't quite have enough in the stacked WC.

It's also the best case scenario for Cleveland. A lot of people don't understand this but the Cavs are in a position to WIN NOW and they NEED Kevin Love.
They cannot wait for him to be a free agent to straight up just sign him, they need to trade for him either now or in a sign and trade in a year.

Could be a rare case where both teams win.

Wiggins is still a big IF, he could turn out to be a bust.
And the Nuggets trade for Carmelo was definitely a case where both teams won. ... well the Knicks finally won a playoff game in 14 years with Melo and the Nuggets steady made playoff runs.

He made a solid improvement last season. Just hope he takes the jump to being a star next season.

Would be hilarious if Wolves had a 2013-14 Phoenix-esque season while the Cavs are playing underwhelming basketball (losing games in 4th quarters).
Don't underestimate the impact of Wiggins' defense.
Rubio
Lavine (provided Martin is traded)
Wiggins
Young (provided Martin is traded)
Pekovic
that starting 5 is playoff bound

Love's gonna put the league on blast for underrating him for so long but I would love it if the Cavs missed the playoffs somehow.

It's nice but nowhere near what Phoenix did last year. It'll be a few years before Minnesota even contends for 8th in the west.
But damn a lot of cav fans may end up looking really bad in a few weeks.

Cavs won't miss the Playoffs (only if Lebron gets injured), but they could play worse than expected because Irving and Love are medicore to bad defensive players, Lebron's declined on D and who is their defensive anchor? Varejao? He's not going to be an amazing rim protector either.
They will have issues on the defensive end all season while I expect the Wolves to play some great defense.

I'd keep Martin on that team, but yea...if you guys end up with Wiggins, Bennett, and Young...while dumping a couple contracts to the Sixers.
You made about as good of a trade as possible.
Never know what will happen, but Flip has absolutely hit a home run here if this shit goes down.
I still don't see how the Cavs would be willing to throw in Bennett and a pick and not get back Dieng, but if it happens...:applause: to the Wolves.
Well done.

No, and certainly not in the western conference. 10th seed at best.

Love it when a struggling club gets some luck :pimp:
I look at that wolves team and they have some good talent there and a good starting lineup, however defense is a little shaky.
Looks a lot more explosive than what it was though.

Av bet if the trade happens? I know the Wolves won't do less than 10th with that roster so I'd be willing to bet on them doing 9th or better. :)

Cavs are gona want brewer or dieng back if they are including wiggins, and why shouldnt they.
Love is leaving no matter what, cavs have all leverage

Apparently this opinion in lost here.
I don't think Brewer makes a lot of sense, but I do love Dieng.
The Wolves would be begging to get rid of Brewer likely...not like the Cavs need to do anything more than ask for that.
Cavs get Love/Dieng/Brewer
Wolves get Wiggins, Bennett, Young, and filler
Sixers get Barea, Shved, and memphis pick from cavs
It would take some cap creativity to make it all work, but the money is close enough.
If Bennett and a first rounder really are in the deal. That is what the Cavs should get back.
And the Wolves still make out like bandits. Wiggins, Bennett, Young, and cap relief...while also dumping 3 contracts? LOL...insanely good.

Im sorry man but there is nothing impressive about this team.
You can honestly make any team but the Sixers 'sound' good by listing their players and deluding yourself with the powerful mix of hype and hope. But try and have some perspective here. We already know veteran teams are far more successful than young teams. Plus the Wolves play in the West. Plus its hard to get free agents.
Rubio, two raw rookie prospects, Shabazz Muhammed, Thad Young and Pekovic?
Im sorry man but there is absolutely nothing special about that team. Wheres the shooting? Besides Rubio, where's the game savvy? And they need a stud in the frontcourt to build around like they did with KG just to have a chance and it will be hard to lure one there as a free agent. Frankly they oughtta try and use Love to pry Embiid and take their chances with him. They have nothing to lose. They arent winning any time soon otherwise.
