Actually yes. They had a mini documentary on him on MSG which featured him talking. It was part of the agreement of taking him in. Remember, he threw a woman down the stairs and Walsh was bringing him back as a favor. They said he had a handler with him 24/7, getting him to practice on time, making sure he kept curfew, etc. You can find quotes from Walsh talking about him, saying he was on a first strike you're out deal.

The Nets thing is just an assumption but they don't do things like that in general.

I hated Shawne during the whole season. MDA was banging him so he would always leave Shawne on court no matter how bad he was playing.

He had some potential. When he played for the lakeshow he had his moments where it seemed he could be a good reliable role player. Then it just wouldn't continue.

He makes rushed decisions, and it looks like he doesn't really work on his game. But hey, if he's happy with minimum deals, let the man be happy.
