View Full Version : The 2015 NBA champion is the easiest to predict since 2001 Lakers.

Oklahoma City was the first Western Conference team in the past 16 years not named the Mavericks, Lakers or Spurs to reach the NBA Finals.

Offensively, the team has Kevin Durant, the league’s best player the past season. The team is extremely fast and gets up and down the court with ease. Durant and Russell Westbrook (3rd best player in the league) are able to hit the big shots and carry the team through stretches.

Defensively, there is Serge Ibaka, the NBA leader in blocks per game and probably the best defensive player in the league. (if he wasnt injured in game 1 and 2 last year vs Spurs, they would have been champs)

But this Thunder team is more than just stats and talent. This team has matured, put it all together this year and its all over.

It looks like this young upstarts with loads of potential have finally reached the summit and have earned the right to be called the best team in the league.

The east is weak, the spurs are old...blazers, mavs or rockets dont have enough....too easy....

DONT FORGET THIS: OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER 2015 NBA CHAMPIONS.

Only Scott Brooks could screw this up...

01 Lakers? they had the 2nd best record in the West and the same record as the Sixers, FYI.

Which he no doubt will.

I agree that they're the heavy favorites. Those guys are just entering their prime, much younger than when Lebron finally won. They have a ton of playoff experience now, a few improving young guys and Morrow was a nice add. Keep everyone healthy and its yours to take.

I agree 100%. Anthony Morrow was by far the most perfect free agent we could have signed as well, accounting for everything. He shoots 43% or better from 3pt land from every spot around the perimeter...

But like usual, I'm sure Brooks will find a way to screw it all up.

They were old last year, it's funny though how they are considered old, only two guys on their team you can really consider old, namely duncan and manu. And don't give me the ibaka excuse, pathetic.

the ibaka excuse? you think the result of games 1 and 2 with ibaka in the thunder would have been the same...?

A fully healthy Bulls squad could take them. That's about it unless the Spurs just get a lot of ball bounces their way.

Durant and West are good but how are you gonna beat 15 players when you only play with two?

The Thunder will fail to win once again while KD will get a pass and Westbrook will get the blame. This thread will be made next year.

Rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat.

Where is this confidence in OKC coming from?
Did Brooks get fired or something?

:applause:

even the mighty Heat (the all time stacked team according to ISH) couldn't handle the complete team that was the Spurs.

Stacked team

no excuses

Durant is already 0/4 in no excuses scenarios, lets see if he can make it 0/5

Fun Fact on OKC and Triangle Offense:

the ibaka excuse? you think the result of games 1 and 2 with ibaka in the thunder would have been the same...? They lost game 5 and 6 WITH Ibaka. And I still think the spurs would've won game 1 and 2 with ibaka in the line-up. Pop just outcoaching brooks also, when they put ibaka in there, they lured him outside with bonner and diaw. And if they went small with durant at the 4, they just let diaw post him up, because durant (and this is his only weakness) can not defend against strong post players.

Thunder are knocking on the door, Durant is 25 years old. I ask everyone to remember it took time for guys like MJ and Lebron to get there.

In 3 years if Durant hasnt won one then, yeah, thats a real ****ing problem.

And I could never blame the Thunder for losing to the Spurs last year especially w/ Ibaka not being there for the 1st two games and not 100% when he came back.
