MODS CLOSE THIS THREAD. I'm just going to add to Russ' list.

http://ocnnreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/bf97bb0349eb9a2b25efeb11b2d9.jpg

So forget all the threads you've seen. We're starting over, but not at #1 again. The list went downhill after #9. If you know who the alts are, tell me whose vote counts. THIS THREAD HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH LEBRON AND KOBE. It's just that the #9 thread ended too fast and felt rigged. I'd rather do this fair.

The previous winner of Russ' #8 All-time thread was Shaquille O'Neal.

Current ISH All-Time List:
1. Michael Jordan (#23) - SG.
6x NBA Champion, 6x Finals MVPs, 5x MVPs, 14x All-Star, x10 Scoring Champ, DPOY (1988), ROTY (1985)
2. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (#33) - C.
6x NBA Champion, 2x NBA Finals MVPs, 6x MVPs, 19x All-Star, 2x Scoring Champ, ROTY (1970)
3. Bill Russell (#6) - C.
11x NBA Champion, 5x NBA MVP, 12x All-Star
4. Wilt Chamberlain (#13)- C.
2x NBA Champion, NBA Finals MVP, 4x NBA MVP, 13x All-Star, 7x Scoring Champ, ROTY (1960)
5. Tim Duncan (#21) - PF/C.
5x NBA Champion, 3x NBA Finals MVP, 2x NBA MVP, 14x All-Star, ROTY (1998)
6. Larry Bird (#33) - SF.
3x NBA Champion, 2x NBA Finals MVP, 3x NBA MVP, 12x All-Star, ROTY (1980), Coach of the Year (1998)
7. Magic Johnson (#32) - PG.
5x NBA Champion, 3x NBA Finals MVP, 3x NBA MVP, 12x All-Star
8. Shaquille O'Neal (#32,34,33,36) - C.
4x NBA Champion, 3x Finals MVP, NBA MVP, 15x All-Star, ROTY (1993)

To vote on who you think the 9th best player of all time is, simply comment or post a picture. I will start the new thread every day around 9:00 PM EST (should be within a couple of minutes, it's not going to be exact). If it's too close to call (5 or less votes), I will leave it open until midnight. By midnight, whoever has the most votes will win and we will move on.

YOU MUST HAVE 1000 POSTS FOR YOUR VOTE TO COUNT

Too close should be within 5 votes or less okay?

Although I fear this will be the case among several Players, especially after we're through with the last of the 3 LeBron/Kobe/Hakeem..

To be fair, we're gonna end up with two lists now. russwest0's with Kobe-LeBron going 9-10, and this one with LeBron-Kobe going 9-10. Hakeem, KG, Oscar, etc. don't have enough supporters to move the needle.

Don't have an issue with it, just an observation.

Lurkers exist, but whatever. Just continue with that thread considering there are so many votes already there that are most likely going to be discounted from posters who 1) might not come back to see the re-do, and 2) posters who don't want to re-vote. Start your sub-500 post rule in that thread.

Any reasoning for Bean?

For LeBron I got:

Better Peak, better prime, better Playoff Performer, regular season Performer, THREE more MVP's, better scorer as can easily be seen by both volume/ppg AND Efficiency, better across the board basically, way better in Elimination games / pressure games / back against the wall and last second shots, better playmaker, rebounder, Defender (2010-2013 > Kobe 2000-2003)

Better Peak and prime, LeBron's top FIVE years > Kobe's top 5 years... All of them.

2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014 > Kobe 2001, 2003, 2008, 2006, 2009

And the real difference Comes beyond that, when Kobe has 1 more great year in 2010, and the rest is kind of meh compared to LeBron's sick 2011, 2008, 2007, 2006 and the upcoming seasons..

For Kobe I got: Phyve Rangz, 81 Poinz, Killer Instinct, Clutch Gene, All-Star Games, Dunk Contest, Hit 12 Threes in a Game..

How was the list "rigged?"

It had over total 30 votes and Kobe had the clear lead.

People had been bitching about me taking too long before making new threads. Kobe had like 10 straight votes at one point and was clearly in 2nd place in the thread prior.

It was clear who was going to win so why leave the thread up for a few days with Kobe having a huge lead?

You guys are pathetic... :facepalm

[YOU MUST HAVE 1000 POSTS FOR YOUR VOTE TO COUNT

DO NOT START A NEW ONE BEFORE 9 PM of TOMORROW. If you want a fair, official list, you will be patient.

I hope you realize this makes no sense considering #1-8 didn't use this criteria. If you want this stipulation, you should just start over from #1.

What is clear is that you only stopped the one early that benefitted Kobe. That sir, is a fact. As I said in the above post, consistency is the only way these list make sense.

Apparently they don't understand and want to start creating their own rules and threads now that they are unhappy that I listened to their request and started making the threads sooner once the winner was clear.

:facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm

Thank god these guys didn't run the list throughout the top 10. Who knows what rules they would have made up whenever someone they didn't like got voted higher than they wanted.

Go count the votes. I stopped other votes just about that early once guys had that big of a lead on votes. For example MJ.

People only whined because they thought I was leaving the other threads open for too long as if it had something to do with Kobe and not me being busy on the weekends :oldlol:

Since a lot of people are complaining about this then I'll drop this section of it.
