So we're just gonna act like Tim Duncan didn't call his shot at the highest level and went out and delivered? The modern day legend...

You hear stories of Babe Ruth calling his home run shot (which is disputed), but we have a player calling an entire series and it's on television/recorded -- and everyone is standing with no reaction.

Don't ever compare a guy like Lebron or Durant to Duncan ever, ever again. This guy is one rebound away from going 6/6 in the finals. Even in defeat, Duncan showed up in Games 6 and 7. The Spurs let him down in game 6.

In this past post-season, Duncan, at 37 years old, was second in points (16.3 ppg to Parker's 17.4), first in rebounds and blocks, first in PER, and led his team in minutes played.

5 titles as the overall best player on the team... undisputed leader... and defensive anchor and rim protector. Last time, I checked, defense is 50% of the game.

Duncan really had nothing to lose. If they lose, they are still beloved and respected with 4 titles. People would focus more on LeBron anyways for 3-peating. Duncan doesn't get any of the blame if they lose (unless he really shits the bed, which is unlikely). And his statement had a 50/50 chance of being correct. So Duncan can say something like that with no problem.

So Duncan knew that Lebron and a bunch of washed up geezers weren't good enough to beat his stacked team. Are we supposed to give him a cookie? :wtf:

Nonono, remember, if you won't win FMVP, then your championship doesn't count.

Duncan had to do very little for SA to dominate the Heat... Yeah, we're ignoring it.

He probably already knew. He had the script already. This is why Stern and Joey always hated Duncan. Give him a script and let him win. And yet he is exposing all their dirty secrets.

Duncan literally ended the big 3 era in Miami.

He made that coward bolt AGAIN.

Wow, the guy missed one big shot in a 17 year career. Several other all time greats have had much worse moments than that one

Some of these trolls just make you wanna :facepalm

Duncan is one of the five greatest to ever play the game. He's a legend.

But some of these haters just continue to fight a losing battle with reality.

Let's call it for what it is... within the top 5 he's #5 on the list. He has no argument for 1-4....and that's not a bad thing.

Spurs were easily the deepest team in the league. They had what... 8 guys shooting 40% from 3 on their team?

Heat would have been the deepest team if Wade wasn't missing every other game, or coming up completely short in the finals. You're trying to tell me that when you saw the finals, you really thought the Heat were the team with collectively more talent?

Anyone who says they did is completely full of shit, and simply didn't watch the Finals

This aint math boys and how the **** did you come to the conclusion that both teams had equal chance? The Spurs embarrassed the Heat, they beat them to pieces, they ended a supposed dynasty prematurely and sent back LeBron packing. Then we have these assholes pretending like nothing major happened and consequently has no impact on none of the finals participants' careers. Like how Dirk's 2011 run is downplayed, just imagine what LeBronytes would say and do here if he had grabbed 2011 and 2014.
LeBron stan logic boiled down = If LeBron wins it he is GOAT if others do, it was just another forgone conclusion and no credit is due the winners.
