Ok lets imagine a fictional championship team led by 2 players, obviously they have other great role players but these are the 2 that stand out.
Player A is a 26/5/5/ dude who shoots about 44-45% from the field. Seen as the 'alphadog' of the team due to his demeanour. Can score 30-40 points in the playoffs and get wins, but just as easily can shoot you out of games by missing a ton of shots
Player B is a highly skilled 21/11 big man on 51% shooting who is extremely long and can defend the paint pretty well. He wont drop 30-40 points but consistently gives you 20/10 a night.
While most uneducated fans may think Player A was the main reason for the ring, due to the popularity or for 'putting up points', I feel that Player B in more impactful due to all around impact from efficient scoring, rebounding, and altering shots in the paint. He may have a low key demeanour, but is more crucial to winning.
