Dont know much of Ellington but Prig seems to have some game and would look nice on a contenders bench.

More cap space for next season seems like the direction they want to go.

Prigioni is going be 37 next year, probably going to a contending team that needs a 3rd stringer. Ellington is a bench guy and is good for 3's and that's about it, not much value.

Neither are going to be in the league down the road anyways, so it's not like they are important to the Knicks future.

Knicks need some defense at the point guard position. Everyone had a field day last year against Felton, and it ain't getting any better with Calderon. Prigs is up there in age and could only do so much. Toure' Murray?

Prigs lost a step towards the end of last year. I like him a lot too, but Murry has a lot of upside if he's coached well. To many guards on this team.
