I get them spit out for change for train tickets all the time. Going back and fourth to the Big East for four straight days I wind up looking like a prospector when I empty out my pockets. It's the main reason I debit train tickets now.

And I have had vendors bitch at me about accepting them too. I've never had anyone not take it, but I've had plenty of people complain about it.
