So apparently ish voted him at #10. Winning a ring for Cleveland especially with their current roster I see him jumping to #5 all time. I also expect him to win another MVP after putting up an all time great regular season. The MVP is guaranteed btw, we will be seeing 2012-14 lebron with his 2008-10 athleticism after dropping that unnecessary weight .:applause:

3x Rings
3x FMVP
5x MVP's

Over Bird. Prob #8. That's on the GOAT list. I'd put him higher on my BOAT list, or top 10 IMPACT list.

Greatness in sports is measured by competition. The collusion thing really doesn't sit well with me in terms of spirit of competitiveness.

Number 5? :biggums: Try number 2! Winning a ring with a 33 win team that has been the laughing stock of the league these last 4 years is something no player in NBA history has accomplished!

Hakeem was 10, check again.
One LeBron stan created a thread where supposedly everybody who voted for Hakeem were alts.
Wilt was overrated by this forum big time, he's at 9 at best, he wasn't dominant enough to compensate for his lack of rings

I would agree with this but Lebron would be #6 on this list. Also Jordan should be #1

From number 10 to number 10. Maybe number 9. Not higher than Shaq on any list.

cavs will have their work cut out winning the championship. It isn't easy to mesh such big changes together in the first year...

Hmmm...tell me more.

GOAT list by definition of the name MUST include accolades and is a mix of accolades/stats/impact/historical significance to the NBA.

My GOAT list:

1) MJ
2) Kareem
3) Bill Russell
4) Wilt
5) Magic
6) Duncan
7) Kobe
8) Shaq
9) Bird
10) Lebron

My impact (or more boat list) list:

>By impact i mean impact only in the realm of winning/losing/controlling the game, and not TV contracts/viewerships/jersey sales/seats/influence
>Don't necessarily have to win, but players that almost singlehandedly makes/breaks a game
>Impact relative to the rest of the league of THEIR ERA.
>Consider more than their stats-- intangibles are of vital importance too
>Longevity isn't as important here

1) Bill Russell
2) Wilt Chamberlain
3) Michael Jordan
4) Shaquille O'Neal
5) Kareem Abdul Jabbar
6) George Mikan
7) Larry Bird
8) Lebron James
9) Magic Johnson
10) Oscar Robertson

-By sheer dominance I could've put Wilt on top. But Russell's intangibles (leadership, BBIQ, competitive drive) which led to so many wins made the decision for me. I know he had a much better team and Wilt did more 'relative' to his teammates, so I'd be ok if Wilt was put on top also.
-I was having trouble deciding between Lebron and Larry-- for a stint they both were considered the best in the NBA (3 MVPS IN A ROW for Bird, and 4 total for Lebron, who's still relatively young). But Bird's will to win and ability to make a play out of nowhere in the clutchest moments was the deciding factor.

(I was having trouble deciding Lebron/Bird/Magic)
