The Toronto Raptors announced Wednesday an eight-game preseason schedule featuring two contests at Air Canada Centre. As previously announced, the Raptors will also play host to preseason games in Vancouver and Montreal as part of the NBA Canada Series. Toronto will play four road games at Sacramento (Tuesday, October 7), at New York (Monday, October 13), against Boston in Portland, Maine (Wednesday, October 15) and versus the Oklahoma City Thunder in Wichita, Kansas (Friday, October 17).

For the second consecutive season, Haifa made it to the finals, again against Tel Aviv.

For the first time in league history the finals would be a two game, split home and home series, with the total cumulative score determining the champion.

Maccabi Haifa lost game, at home, by a score of 77-81.

Due to the new format, Haifa would need to win the second game by 5 points in order to win the championship. Game two was played @ Tel Aviv. At the end of regulation Haifa was winning by 4 points, which was a cumulative tie, sending the game into over time.

Although Haifa won the game 84-82, they lost the championship in cumulative total score, 161-163

that's weird:wtf:

That's so stupid!

If they're following FIFA tournament rules, when the combined score is tied after the second leg, who ever wins in overtime (extra time and penalties) should win the damn championship.

"Sorry to say, Real Madrid, but since you lost by two goals in the first leg, and although you scored two in the second leg, you've only scored a single goal in extra time, therefore you lost."

:facepalm
