I should take Curry..but the fact that he's gonna turn 27 during the season is pushing me towards Wall. And I'd much rather depend on Wall improving his jumper, and we've already seen significant improvement in the past couple years, than depend on any of the other 3 improving their defense to anywhere near where Wall's defense is right now.

I think curry can catch fire and take over games the best.
I wanted to see where ish stands on lillard. Nobody taking him over the others?

Wall, sure you need a few great 3 point shooters to be most effective, but dude brings it on both ends and is improving his jumpshot.

Curry and Lillard.
Wall looked lost in the Playoffs last year. He's not even Washington's best player tbh, Gortat is.
Don't like Kyrie's game in the slightest.

Going into next season he won't be, but from the games I watched last year, Gortat had a bigger influence than Wall. Don't have any stats or anything (which very well may be in Gortat's favour) though.

You have to remember that it was Wall and Beal's first playoff experience..

3 out of the 4 have made the playoffs. Still waitin on Kyrie's first. I assume he will get there this year :lol if that's the case, all 4 will have made it to 2nd round at least in the first playoffs, also assuming Cavs make it out of the 1st round :oldlol:

Lillard, Wall, Irving, or Curry?
Curry and Wall who I'm biased about.
Wall's size/defense athleticism means he could be a beast after he has years of experience in the league.
think about a match up between the lost of athleticism Westbrook against a possibly Savy Wall 4-5 years down the road.
he's going to need those playoff games though

Wall or Lillard
I'm not particularly high on Kyrie and Curry is older. I think Wall fits in best on a championship level team because of defense and playmaking. I'd be totally fine with him averaging like 15-16 points and 9 assists if I were building a team. Lillard is the other one because his personality provides great leadership and stability in pressure moments. He is also a smart player who is willing to fit into a system.

Gortat led the wiz in win shares last season. He probably should have been an all star. He and Wall have great chemistry. He's shown Wall some new PnR tricks too

Curry and Wall are in a class above the other two. But Curry's injury history worries me, as does his lack of D.
I wouldn't say it's a toss-up, as I choose Wall, but it's close enough that I have no issue with someone else taking Curry.

Out of that list, Wall is the only guy who can dominate without scoring. If I'm building a team around a guy, I want a guy who can contribute on an off-shooting night.

This is a really tough group to rate, obviously any team would be willing to try and build around any one of these guys.
There is pros and cons to all of them, but if I had to pick one it would probably be Lillard right now, could be Wall if he shakes off last years post-season and keeps improving.
Curry is an elite shooter and runs the point very well, but I don't see him being a guy who will lead or carry a team over the long haul. And despite his recent healthly stretch, those glass ankles still scare me.
Kyrie has battled nagging injuries and really hasn't developed consistency despite having a very high ceiling. He could have been a consideration once I saw more of him with a stable cast and being healthy, but now with LBJ in town, I don't see him reaching for that ceiling.

Lillard/Wall.
I've always felt that Lillard is what everyone expected Wall to be after he was initially drafted. Now after a couple of seasons, Wall knows when exactly to use his speed and when to keep it slower. Lillard has been doing that all along. I like Lillard a little more for his commitment to succeed.

This is why I would choose Lillard as well. I followed the Blazers last year and the kid would hit big shots and barely celebrate, but if one of his teammates dove and saved a ball from going out of bounds or got an offensive tip-in he'd be right there to celebrate with them. He seems to care about the right things.

Out of that list, I would take Curry without hesitating. He is far ahead of Wall, Irving, or Lillard.
To those who say Dragic: he's a terrific player, and IMO the fifth best guard in the league right now (after Paul, Curry, Westbrook, and Harden), but the fact that he turns 29 next season really puts a damper on his potential as a building block. But who knows? There's a chance that he ages extremely well, like his mentor Nash, who had his peak season at age 32 and continued playing like an All-Star until age 38.
Also, I think Lillard is the most overrated guard in the league. What exactly has this kid done to warrant all of the praise he's been getting? Don't get me wrong, I like him, and he's clutch, but he's a clear tier below the previous five guys I mentioned.

John Wall. He's by far the best defensive player of this group and has just as much upside as anyone here offensively.

While Wall may not be the best of the bunch, I'd build around him due to his defensive play. Easiest to build around as well, as less defensive deficiencies to cover up.
Curry would be next. His passing is underrated, and no mention is required of his offense. Defense is as bad as Kyrie though.
Lillard has proved to be clutch, and gives solid effort on D, though he still is mediocre. Inefficient though.
Kyrie would be my last pick. A scorer that is the worst facilitator of the bunch, and is Steve Nash level defense.

Right Now:
Curry > Lillard > Wall > Irving
For the future i'm leaning:
Curry > Lillard > Irving > Wall
Feel like Wall has peaked more so than Irving has...

Wall.
He's not a #1 option put the team on my back type player....
but who wins a championship on the back of their point guard?
Wall is the best of the bunch when it comes to supporting other scorers. He makes guys like Ariza and Webster look good.
And I love Beal...but Wall makes him look better than he is sometimes. Not to detract from Beal who I think will be a perennial 20+ppg scorer.
