View Full Version : West/Hibbert, Gasol/Noah/Gibson, Gortat/Nene will eat up the Cavs front court

combine that with one of the worst defensive backcourts in irving and waiters and an average at best defender in lebron and this is looking like the worst defense in the league, im expecting a season similar to the run and gun phoenix suns

Sure keep thinking that. Bulls Front Court Noah is not a Scorer so Andy V and him are a good matchup actually and Love will bring Gasol and Gibson away from rim and try to cover him coming off screens at 3 point line.. Good Luck with that... The rest of the Teams don't Matter cause they are not nearly as talented as Cavs.

Defense is one thing among many I don't like the trade for, Wiggins is already an above average defender and Bennett's alright but is definitely more skilled on the offensive end. At least we have Varejao down low taking six charges a game, a long with one of, if not the best rebounding frontcourt with Andy, Thompson & Love.

This team is either gonna be extremely good or will end up like this (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=274100).

If Varejao is healthy they'll be fine. If he goes down again and they have to play Thompson at center then they will be in big trouble come playoff time against the Bulls.

I wouldn't be worried about the Wiz or Pacers though. Hell, I'd be shocked if the Pacers even made the playoffs at this point.

Young scored 20 on 18 shots once and 19 on 20 shots the 2nd time. PG scored 22 on ~43%. 11 on 13 shots a game. Iso J is the only one who scored over 50% against the Heat.

That being said, the entire Heat defense was just straight up garbage. Even LeBron played shitty defense at times. I hate using the word, but he was legit coasting and it came back to bite his ass in the PO's.

Oh, and steals and blocks are a shitty indicator. Kobe is a career 1.5 SPG and 0.5 BPG player. Has be always been a garbage ass defender?

Just like West/Hibbert ate up Miami's non-existent frontcourt, right? If Miami can beat the Pacers repeatedly with Bosh and Battier/Haslem/Andersen, just imagine what a future Hall of Famer plus Varejao can do.

Plus Thompson is a younger Version of Haslem in terms of what he brings to table.
