Think about it

Westbrook
Sefolosha
Durant
Love
Perkins

All the rebounds this guy will collect with all the bricks Westbrook will shoot. Triple threat (Love, Westbrook, Durant). Don't worry about defense. That lineup has 3 guys who are amazingly great at defending their position in Perkins, Westbrook and Sefolosha. Durant proved he could if the effort was there. Love can improve I have no doubt in my mind.

Ibaka's game was not enough for him to be a threat offensively to any defense. Love will help Durant a lot, with assists etc... You have to double Durant cause he will eat you alive one on one. Double the guy and Love is alone and also a willing passer 4.4 APG this year. Ibaka can not give you that.

Even though Kevin Love is obviously a better offensive player and rebounder than Ibaka, Serge is a better fit for Oklahoma City to anchor their defense and play off of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant.

Yes, Oklahoma City would be much better offensively, but they would also be worse defensively without an elite rim protector like Ibaka.

At the end of the day, this I know:

Scott Brooks will find a way to **** things up.

This. We saw how big of a difference Ibaka made when he was injured in the WCF.

His defensive presence is HUGE for the Thunder. He is their paint protector. Plus KLove's offensive numbers would drop dramatically if he had to share the ball w/ Durant/Westbrook. Ibaka was already putting up 16ppg in the playoffs, i don't think Love would get much more than that as a 3rd option.

Westbrook and Durant have no use for Kevin Love. Ibaka is a better fit.

I don't know if this is true or not. But it is definitely one of those opinions that feels true.

Let's hope that you're wrong.

Even with Ibaka they should win, Thunder are stacked. KD always seems to find a way to make them lose.

Like all good things, Brooks will screw it up. It's such a shame because OKC has a good team and Brooks has no idea how to run it.

no because ibaka>love and durant will choke wins away.

If Brooks enforced a passing style offense, then WB/KD/KL could be a killer combo.

Since Brooks doesn't do that, KLove actually might be a downgrade.

We would've won in 2011, 2012, MAYBE 2013 since Russ got injured, and definitely 2014.
