HOOOOLY MOOOOLY this season is going to be no jokes for Lebron.

He's going to ****ing dominate.

Way too skinny. Lebron's best attribute was his ability to bulldoze his way to the basket with his massive size and quickness combination. Now that he's lost his size he won't be able to get to the basket as easy and he is not a good enough shooter. Look for his stats to drop to 20/5/5

Agreed. His bulk was one of his advantages.

He should be able to play much better defense now.

His core strength will still be there, so he'll still be able to get to the basket or back smaller players down.

expect a slightly quicker first step now, and his endurance should last all season

He needs to play DPOY level defense if the Cav's actually plan on getting a top seed.

He'll be back to playing SF in Cleveland, as opposed to the small lineup in Miami, where he was effectively playing PF most of the time. So it makes sense for him to drop a bit of weight, and hopefully gain some speed and endurance.
I'm hoping he'll be back in form defensively, after a bit of an off year last season.

He clearly watched the MVP take over the league with his scrawny frame, so he is following in his footsteps :applause:

This is not gonna help his post game, unless the refs will reward skinnybran with touch fouls.

LeBron looking iconic there. Awesome!

Dude is about to wreck the league. No one in the East has a chance.

They already won.

It's a lot of weight to lose in a short period of time. I wouldn't be surprised if he misses time this year with injury.

This. He sacrificed his body and perhaps even few years of his career due to the incompetence of Pat Riley and Miami's front office.

Now we will see him back at his best:applause:

Yea, I dont see why LeBron has to lead the Heat in Points, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, FG% AND Guard the Toughest matchup 1-4 every night

I mean couldnt Wade and Bosh help put a bit more?

Probably since KG in 2004 noone ever had to carry a team in every way possible

They were the opposite of stacked, no way a stacked team has 1 player leading the team in everything! :facepalm

its kind of ****ed up seeing Lebron constantly getting hair transplants to maintain what looks like the remains of a hairline.

Its so common seeing him show up somewhere with a newer more filled in hairline, only to watch it get decimated again by his aggressive MPB.

The Cavs will sleep walk to a top 2 seed. Worst case scenario is a #2 seed, but probably #1 seed.

Lebron will have a lot more energy playing for Cleveland...that much is for sure. His workload will be much smaller like you said.

Been hoping he loses weight for a while now..watched a lot of Cleveland Lebron tape and he was just insane athletically, and he never quite hit that level physically in Miami. He compensated for it by refining all his skills though..if he can match like 90% of the athleticism he had from around 2007-2010 to go with his improved jumper and post game, holy shit.

LeBron needed to lose weight. I heard a rumour he was almost 300 last season. He was 274 in 2010 (CLE), and he was noticeably heavier last year than ever before. It obviously effected his athleticism at times.

As he gets older his joints will appreciate the diet he us on, and so will his resume. Less weight, less pressure. For a perimeter guy being that big is not necessary, he was bigger than most 3's at 18, he was bigger than most 4's last year.

I just can't wait to see what happens when a guy who did this a few month ago:

http://i.cdn.turner.com/nba/nba/.element/media/2.0/teamsites/heat/images/131220-jamesdunk.gif

attempt to do the same with 10 pounds less gravity resistance.

I'm afraid it might look a little like this:

...and by afraid I mean it makes my pipi tickle.

Lebron has always looked skinny to me. He just looks like he lost a little weight and started hitting his abs more. If he was 6ft tall I would put him at 160lbs with the way he looks right now. That's why I never believed his BS stats of 250+lbs.

He has to lose the weight to prolong those legs. The thing about those Hs to pro players is the mileage and pounding their bodies take throughout the seasons. This should help relieve the stress his knees/feet are taking.

The reason he looks skinny is because he is perfectly proportioned. To me he looks like a normal guy but the reality is he is actually 6'8 and well over 100kg (220lbs).

Its the reason why hes always been touted as the greatest athletic physique, basically in all of sport. Despite being so large, he is as nimble as a 6 foot dude due to his proportions. Don't let that fool you.

Because the college kids are playing a different form of basketball that isn't stressful the exact same on their bodies? The stuff is overrated. Ball players hoop ... all the time. Whether it's in the pros, college, summer tournaments, pick up, etc. But as it pertains to Bron, yes losing weight is a great thing for his game, athleticism, and his body.

Miami's collective team defense was atrocious last season, they got exposed on the PnR a bunch during the playoffs. Too much over help left 3 point shooters wide open. Lebron was particularly lax on closeouts and his on-ball defense was the worst it had been for probably 5 years.

GimmeThat
08-09-2014, 05:45 AM
he might end up resolving back to his Cleveland Days post move as well.

in which, while were effective, people complained about it not being very pretty. since he's going to have to rely more so on quickness than strength, i.e. a quick spin, or quick over the defender hook than your traditional back down dribble.

I think the differences in his game will be almost unnoticeable.
