Obviously A-Rod ranks up there, but this is just unbelievable the tumble this guy has taken.

He has done nothing relevant in terms of GOAT rankings in 5 years. At this point, winning regular tournaments does absolutely nothing for him. And he has no relevancy in major championships at this point. This coming during a time when he should be in the absolute prime of his career.

Age 35-40 is supposed to be a golfers absolute peak. It's been the absolute worst portion of his career.

1997-2008 = DOMINANT

Ronaldinho, btw... Dude had GOAT potential, was AMAZING for 3 seasons, and fell to mediocrity afterwards... Fans are amazed of his tricks in a 2-3 year span and some even have him top 5 ever :facepalm

You must have misheard he me. I said he was player of the year and has been injured.

Also, 35-40 is not even close to an absolute peak. In fact it's the exact opposite when it comes to majors ya f'ing moron.

Derrick Rose's knee is the greatest collapse in sports history

Hes only "collapsed" relative to his own extroadinarily prodigious peak, hes not even really struggling by the standards of the avg pro golfer.

Jamal Lewis is a GOAT collapse candidate. Broke the single-game rushing record, that same year finished second all-time in rushing yards in a season, won NFL Offensive MVP, then proceded to suck evermore :biggums:

He was a "lock" to pass Nicklaus, too.

Cheating on his wife ruined his career.

Only a part of it. It is, at the end, just a temporary distraction. He just returned to his winning form after those messes were cleared. The larger part is still injuries. Winning '08 US Open with one and a half leg is a miracle enough, but it was a downhill from that point.

At least there was one intelligent post here.

How does a golfer make more than 10 million in their career?

no one has taken his accomplishments away from him yet.

I'd say Lance Armstrong has a better case than his.

I thought he would return to dominance after he split from his wife. The "Rejuvenation after an unhappy marriage" theory

I still cannot believe how his wife was allowed to beat the shit out of him, and police didn't press charges for assault AND she got a massive mansion and half his fortune.

WHY IS THIS WOMAN ALLOWED TO BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF WOODS AND INTIMIDATE HIM WITH A GOLF CLUB AND GET AWAY AS INNOCENT AND BE AWARDED WITH MANSIONS?

try twisting your back while you swing the golf club. let's see if you don't injure yourself.

there's 2 main injury points for a golfer. his back, and his elbows. lesser prone but still possible - wrist.

Why didn't he sign a pre-nup if he was going to be a serial cheater? :facepalm

Idiotic thread. He won 5 times last year and regained the number 1 ranking. He is only 3 wins away from tying Snead for the most pga tour wins in history.

getting downgraded from "friggin' invincible" to "still pretty good" is hardly a collapse.

If peak MJ suddenly fell to Ray Allen levels (and stopped winning titles) y'all wouldn't call it a collapse? That's basically what happened to Tiger.

Hell Tiger is more like the Rodney Stuckey of golf at this point. He's been flat out terrible over the past year. And I don't mean terrible for Tiger standards, I mean barely belongs on the PGA tour terrible.

Tiger overworked himself too young. It took a toll, all the torque generated, all the pressure on joints, ligaments and muscles from cranking the ball.

I never liked Tiger Woods, ever since 4th grade and seeing him fall off is fine with me cuz I like other golfers better.

LMAO at 2 Wallaces jumping in the thread quickkk to defend his imaginary boy toy.
