If Love was forthright and just admitted that he couldn't carry a team, ALPHA style, then I wouldn't be so disappointed in him. However, he has treated Minnesota like shit and during the process, he has acted as if he's an ALPHA male that had no help. Fact is, he's had help and he wasn't good enough to carry a team like a true ALPHA. He certainly can't carry a team defensively.

Love is a great #2 and after this charade, no one should ever call him an ALPHA superstar ever again.

Like Lebron, he is a stat stuffing loser without other stars around him.

He's treated Minnesota like shit? How about them only offering him a 4 year max so that they could give Rubio the max?

How about drafting 2 point guards before Steph Curry? How about Wesley Johnson before DMC? Drafting Derrick Williams who plays the exact same position?

So you're essentially saying, they did this to spite Love? No other teams have made mistakes in the draft before?

Stop.

The first part was more of how they treated him like shit. The second part was how they failed over and over again to get him quality all star team mates in the Western Conference.

Explain how he treated them like shit? He didn't pull a Dwight fiasco that ran months. It was straight up "trade me or I'll leave". He doesn't owe them anything.

Minnesota had some decent starting line ups.

Problem is their benches were just awful, they couldn't get it done. And the starting 5 wasn't good enough to make up the difference.

Love put up 26/12 and damn near 5 assist per game. The guy is a legitimate all star and easily a top 10 player in today's game.

Every team in the nba would give him the max without hesitation, he a top 5 offensive player in the league.

Where is your proof that they denied Love a fifth year on the proposed contract?

Secondly, if his ass wanted to leave so bad, he should've not signed his current contract, and he should shut the hell up and leave when his current contract is up. I'm tired of hearing his whiny ass and his teammates don't see him as a great leader.

About his teammate Kevin Love, the Spanish point guard says that "he is a special player, the numbers that he puts up are incredible, but still the leader has to be somebody else (...) He leads in scoring, in other things, but in voice he is not the type of player that wants to be or that can be, no? There are different types of leaders. Still, it did not have to have been him, it should have been Kevin Martin, with a little more experience, or even I can take a step further and start to be the definitive leader."

Everything you say is true, but that does not make him a #1 ALPHA leader that can carry a team. He's no Kobe, Dirk, etc. He's more of a Pau Gasol.

He needs to admit this and stop acting like he's ALPHA.

Love sacrifices defense to get some rebound and look good on the stat sheet.
Cavaliers are not a threat to spurs/okc/clips, the only player on that team that legit has heart is Kyrie and that mofo is injured more than not

Also, he couldn't not signed his current deal w/ the Wolves. If he hit FA, he would be a RFA and they'd have matched anyway.

And of course he's not the perfect player, he has flaws. I don't think he's a #1 on a title team. But of course, now he doesn't have to be. He also doesn't owe Minnesota jack shit.

Dude, seriously? Love got what he wanted, a 4 year max and a 3 year out. How is that Minnesota treating him bad?! Love will make more money now because of a possible new collective bargaining agreement. Plus, Love can leave after 3 years.

Why are you acting as if Love couldn't have gotten a 5th year if he really pushed the issue?

You should at least educate yourself on the facts before blurting out bull shit. Did you even watch basketball a few years ago?

The max was for five years, which would take the player through 2017. Love wanted that. The Wolves refused. Love ended up signing a four-year deal with a player out after three. So he can become a free agent in 2015.

Love said Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor and president of basketball operations David Kahn did not want to offer the five-year deal to the All-Star power forward.

"Did I want the five years? Of course," Love said on a conference call from Dallas, where the Timberwolves were scheduled to play the Mavericks on Wednesday night. "It was something I felt strongly about, but at the end of the day, a four-year deal is still great."

I find it hilarious that you completely ignored how I just derailed your entire train of thought. :oldlol:

So much for "of course he could have gotten the fifth year!" You blithering idiot, he wanted the 5th. They refused. That's why they treated him poorly.

He wants out because he can't hack it as a #1. Face facts, jack.

I don't know who labels people stars, but even Glen Taylor said: "I don't think Kevin Love is a star, because he hasn't led us to the playoffs." I mean it's not like I had much support out there. That's a tough pill to swallow.

Kevin Love responding about contract being thrown into his face by David Kahn right after a loss......

I'm not the one to always follow professional protocol -- but I do know what it is, even at 24 years old.

Love responding about the organization questioning him about whether his injury from thrusting himself from a round of knuckle push-ups was legitimate...

Even people in my own organization were asking if it was a legitimate injury, people calling my honest and intergrity into question. That really hurt me.

Kevin Love on Timberwolves roster switches.......

You walk into a locker room every year, and it's completely turned over. There's new guys everywhere. And then it happens again and again. You start to wonder: Is there really a plan here? Is there really any kind of a... plan?

Love on the lack of 5 yr deal and Kahn's plan for Rubio max....

It was a projection over a sure thing. There's no question there was an agenda here. A different agenda. I have a very, very good memory, and I always remember the people who have done right by me, and the people who have done wrong by me. It will be embedded in my brain, and something I won't forget about. There's no telling what will happen. I would love to compete for a champion in Minnesota, but.....

Love about Wolves contention...

And that's on me to do my part, to get us there

Love on free agency and opt out with contract 2015...

I'll have the leverage.

You're welcome.

oh the horror

Nah. Maybe you should stop. They've had multiple chances at the draft and whiffed MULTIPLE times. Hell, they even had multiple chances in the same draft lottery and f*cked THAT up.

They've made really no sensational moves...free agents don't want to go there. Period.

Garnett wised up and got the hell out of there as well. They aren't run very well.
