there is such a thing. it's called garbage time stats. those stats don't really matter since the game is over at that point. that's the only time empty stats is a valid term.
but when idiots use empty stats in the context of a player who has had a monstrous game, that's just bullshit.
obviously, 30 points 10 rebounds, 7 assists or whatever isn't empty. no matter if the team that player was on lost the game.
