View Full Version : What makes Shaq any better than Kevin Love in terms of individual dominance?
GODbe

They have a similar point per game output. Shaq of course has the edge in FG% and blocks. Love has the edge in shooting easily. He can also make freethrows down the stretch, something Shaq couldn't do his entire career which caused him to sit out entire 4th quarters.
In terms of the eye-test I have to say Love's game is more dominant to me. Shaq was literally all layups and dunks.
Who would you say is the better player?

I don't see why people say things like this. He regularly closed out games even worse than 2011 LeBald. Good thing he had Clutchbe though.:applause:

When every team in the league gears their defense to stop Kevin Love, Will he still be able to score? Shaq did what he wanted, that's called domination. If you played the Lakers you had to double and triple Shaq and hope he didn't find the open man or jam the ball in your face. Could Love handle that kind of defense against him every game, I think not.

Shaq was able to make your hero, Godbe, your idol look like nothing more than a scrub when they played together
Do you think Love is also good enough to make Godbe look like a scrub?

This is a bit far out but listen to this.
Kevin Love wears the same number as Dirk Notwitzki.
They both wear the number 42.
4*2 =8 and 4/2 = 2
They are 82 games in a NBA season.
4+2 =6 and 4-2 =2
The Cavaliers will win 62 games next season.
4*4 = 16 and 2*2 =4 16+4 =20
The Cavaliers will lose 20 games next season.
Kevin Love was born in 1988 and he was drafted in 2008.
1+9+8+8=26 and 2+0+0+8=10
26-10=16
The Cavaliers will win 16 games in the NBA Playoffs next season.

I have logged on to ish 3 times today. The 1st time a laker "fan" made a thread to diminish Gasol. The 2nd one was made by a Laker "fan" with the agenda of bringing down Magic Johnson. And now this one trying to convince people that Shaq was at the level of Kevin love.
Did something happened today that's making these 3 Laker fans turn against all these great Lakers?
Am I going to see an anti Kobe thread from a Laker fan when I come back later tonight?

26.4 PER is not prime Shaq's PER. You're including his older years, to a player in his prime.

Shaq only had layups and dunks? Uh, maybe because it was NO ONE COULD STOP HIM from getting to the rim and dunking on them or throwing up layups. If Kevin Love was as dominant as Shaq, Lebron would have gone to join Love, not the other way around.

Shaq and it's not even close. i m guessing you have never seen Shaq in his prime. if he caught the ball around the painted area, you knew something was gona happen and usually it ends with a nasty flush.

Or an intentional foul and two bricks. I'm not saying Shaq wasn't dominant, it's just that Love is as well. Probably more-so than Shaq was imho. He's basically Shaq with a little less defense but makes up for it with his jumpshot and freethrow ability. You'll never see a Hack-A-Love during a game.
