...Lol. Pheonix obviously rejected it.

Roy Hibbert - Huge liability on offense. Horrible rebounder for his size. Only good thing about him is that he's an elite defender
Chris Copeland - no explanation needed
cash considerations - meh.

That for... Goran Dragic. A point guard who plays at all-star level.

Dragic: The Phoenix will not accept offers of Indiana

Beyond the puddles Dragic in the last days mentioned as a possible reinforcement of Indiana. The latter is the severe damage Paula George, which will be released (at least) the greater part of the season, started looking for players who would have been able to make up for the loss of the best player Pacers. Among other things, the Phoenix for Dragic offered Roy Hibbert and Chris Copeland. "And some money," said Dragic, who he's interest in Indiana, a transfer from probably nothing will: "According to my information, in Phoenix say they will not accept the offer."

Goran said he heard about the trade rumor and said that Phoenix won't accept that deal.

Also he said that he will play all 5 friendly matches for Slovenia but only 25min per game.

Language is Slovenian BTW. :)

Hibbert is close to untradeable until he bounces back.

Then once he does, the Pacers won't move him.

Yes, it is best to buy low, but don't trade somebody who should have been an all-star for somebody putting up multiple 0/0/0 games.

they should have done this last year. might have beaten the Heat then.

If Hibbert gets the Pacers into the playoffs this year, then all the questions about the value of his play will be answered.

Big if though.

How can this guy put up 0/0 games at 7'2? :oldlol:

I would have taken the deal, but centers that can defend well are a dime a dozen, right? :lol Hes only the best defender in the league as a big man.

I would do the trade! Hibbert trade value is on a all-time low. People seem to forget how good he has played before 2014. Hibbert was the best defender in the league in 2013, but something happend with the Pacers. Hibbert will be back this fall. Also the Suns got Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas.

No team will ever take Hibbert's insane contract.

Also Hibbert sucks ass juice.

But Dragics value is at an all time high.

They can get way better.

Feel kinda bad for George Hill.. he's not an unlikable player, and he doesn't lack work ethic.. he's just not a starting PG, maybe not even a pg at all.. would have been great for a team like the Heat the last few seasons, a team that needed less pg play from it's pg and coulda used Hill's shooting. Hopefully Indiana finds their guy and Hill finds himself a good spot

Can somebody remind me how he got that hideous contract in the first place?

Portland offered it to him, Indy decided to match it.

People thought at the time it was an overpay, but didn't seem as bad as it does now.

No, Hill is not a point guard, he has admitted this himself......I'm fine with him at SG, not worried about him being undersized on defense because he really fights taller players and tries to get under them. Its quick, fast PG's that he can't really defend....

And, I do think Hibbert will be fine this year since Lance is gone, but I still might not do that deal either if I was Phoenix. He just doesn't fit in with their style. But what's up with Bledsoe? If they're going to keep him, then I would do the deal. Why do they need 3 point guards?

so much for 2 times NBA all star Roy Hibbert :oldlol:

As the relationship of Bledsoe and the Suns turns sour, this is definitely not the right time to deal Dragic.
They never should anyway, Dragic is the leader and the one who plays his heart for the team. Also like posters already said, Dragic's value is pretty high right now, the Suns can get better for him.

Teams had out insane contacts all the time. What difference is trading for one?

Because you're giving up a great contract for a player who deserves more money (Dragic) for a bad contract for a player who doesn't deserve the money they're making now (Hibbert).

Hibbert is lazy. He got into Better shape, had a few good playoff moments in 2012 and '13 and felt that he'd arrived on the big stage. He was exposed for what he is: a big, raw talent who needs to work on his craft.
