German military casualties on the Eastern Front during WWII were something like 2.5 million while on the Western Front they were closer to half a million. The good ol US of A is great at bombing civilians and men in huts, not so good at going toe to toe with world powers on the ground. The soviets also had better artillery and machine guns. They has had more portable carbines.

IJA military tactics were also outdated. Eg. extensive bayonet training.

That was an early battle between the USSR and the IJA fought in 1939. The japanese high command realized how backward their army was. It was a big factor why they choose to pursue the southern strategy and use its navy to secure the dutch east indies and etc.

Japan being an island nation focused military development on their navy and naval air wings. Hitler hoped japan would open up a second front against the soviets. Japan realized how badly they would do once out of the range of the guns of their battleships and the range of their carrier air wings.

These guys would be nonfactors, plus the muslim countries wouldnt actually attack us because our government gives their governments so much money every year+buys their oil. If anything they'd provide our boys with aid+let us use their countries as military bases (see Pakistan, Kuwait, etc etc)


vs Russia and China, as long as we aren't invading them and have to play on their home court, we could easily take out. It wouldn't be a sweep but I'd call it a 4-1 US victory series, 4-2 if China and Russia play the game of their lives.

Nazi germany and Soviet Union (WW2 era) didnt have an impressive navy. The IJN would still have lost to the USN

Without russia the prospects of re invading europe would have been difficult. I think eventually it would have reached an equilibrium where both nazi germany and the west would have survived.

Eg. The nazi could not have invaded england or starved it to death with american support. And america and britain would have had trouble opening a western front in europe.

The north african campaign goes largely the same way. Germany would be able to focus more forces into north africa though.
