View Full Version : If they don't win a ring, Kevin Durant will definitely leave OKC next contract year..

- Terrible coach (who is not close to leaving)
- An owner who refuses to go over the salary cap
- Overused and played the most minutes of any NBA player (including LeBron)
- Westbrook has NEVER been a great fit for him
I think it's a foregone conclusion he's out to a big market team, or even the disastrous Houston franchise to play w/ his buddy Harden. Unless OKC can win a ring this year, KD has given enough of his talent over there. He'd be 100x more justified leaving there than LeBron was leaving the Cavs.. then the Heat again.

:facepalm Durant would be justified in leaving the most stacked team in the league?
Lebron left because his teammates were lazy and refused to help him out. Durant on the other hand has been CARRIED by the likes of Westbrook and Ibaka in the playoffs. Durant is the sole reason his team lost to the Spurs in game 6 last year. Stop trying to divert attention away from his epic playoff choking!

A pass first Point Guard like Wall would be interesting for Durant.
No shot he goes to Houston.

I don't know if Durant will leave, but I do feel if they don't win a championship by 2016 Ibaka, Westbrook and Durant won't be other together on that team anymore.

Well now that that's decided, it's time for me to start researching top 2016 draft prospects. Maybe we can land that Papageorge kid Euroleague keeps raving about.

Who is more likely to leave, though?
Westbrook to L.A. or Durant to Washington?

No, he hasn't.

And no he wasn't.

I agree. I feel like if they don't win by 2016, they won't be able to keep the core of Durant Westbrook and Ibaka together.
And they won't. Considering that they have a really cheap owner and a garbage coach that they probably won't fire until Durant bolts.

Durant basically played the same minutes as LeBron did the last 4 years
And how come the 25 year old gets more tired these days than the 29 year old 11 year NBA vet??
I thought Durant was this freak of nature athlete :facepalm

He nearly cost his team the game in regulation with that EMBARRASSING fall! Lucky for him Westbrook stole the ball back and forced overtime. Then in overtime he missed a wide open 3 to tie in the Final seconds. He cost you guys that game, just accept it. :coleman:

You said sole reason. No one is ever the "sole" reason a team loses a game. And, if they were, scoring something like 8 points and in a crucial Finals game would be closer to being the "sole" reason for a loss than going for 31-14-3-2 on 48% shooting.

You mean that game where Scott Brooks had Derek Fisher check Tim Duncan in the 4th and OT?

He did not play any where near as well as those numbers would have you believe. I watched that entire game, was was very unimpressed with Durant during that second half. To tell you the truth I was hoping the Thunder would win that game, as I wanted the Spurs to be more worn out by Finals time, so don't accuse me of being biased. In that second half the Spurs began to pull away, yet Durant never made any real effort to stop the bleeding. Making a bunch of half ass efforts to get free from Kawhi, seemingly wanting no part of the basketball. :confusedshrug:
A league MVP playing on his home court is supposed to step up in those moments, but KD never did.

This dude is over here talking about empty stats in an OT game when LeBron got almost 50% of his Finals production in literal garbage time

You really are a special kind of stupid, aren't you? No one who's read even a few of your posts is going to believe you're not biased. And I see you're totally deflecting the "sole reason" comment I made about LeBron and ignoring all of that.

I said I was rooting for the Thunder in that game, meaning I was rooting for KD to play well and force a game 7. :wtf:
Of course I am normally biased against Durant, but not in the particular game we are discussing. I was rooting HARD for him to pull off one of his vintage January 48 point games with 18-20 free throws, but he let me down. :(
About the Lebron comment you made, Lebron wasn't the league MVP that year. When you win league MVP you are held to a higher standard.

Can someone honestly explain to me how Durant going to Washington is a good fit for him ? Or is it because he wants to go home ?

For starters, it wasn't a game 7, but given that you added "for once" I already know you don't actually follow basketball outside of LeBron. Durant is an excellent elimination/series game clinching player.
And how the hell do you expect me, or anyone else for that matter, when you give Durant a backhand compliment by saying you wanted him to have a "vintage 48 point game with 18-20 free throws"? It couldn't be any more obvious.

Because the East ref's don't know about his "rip move" and he'll get away with it.

It's about him going home. We wouldnt have this discussion had the Thunder won a championsip. But now Brooks and Westbrook are perceived as holding KD back.

Because the Eastern Conference is the easiest place in the world. At worst he'd make ECF every year against the Cavs.

I wonder what KD will look like with a pg that actually wants to pass the ball to him:lol

From a team standpoint, there's no other team he would go to that's better than OKC presently structured. Going to Houston would be interesting because he would have a low post presence in Dwight. But if he leaves it would have to be for the Eastern conference for easier competition and rode to finals. Jumping to another team in the West would be dumb.
And how would he be more justified than LeBron for leaving? :oldlol: He's playing with another top 10 player who can take over a game any other time. LeBron's best teammate in his first stint in Cleveland was Mo Williams or Drew Gooden :oldlol:

Wall/Durant/Beal/Gortat will be the next collusion since Kobe/Dwight/Nash/Peace.
Disgusting.:facepalm
Worst collusions of the last decade
1) Boston 2008 Big 3
2) Kobe Dwight Nash Gasol Artest 2013
3) Dream team Kobe Shaq Malone Payton 2004
But this rumoured Durant collusion might even beat that!
Funny how the combined 3 collusions only won 1 ring combined
Collusion doesnt lead to success
