I remember because Steph was my dude. When I used to collect cards back then I had like 250->300 Steph cards when I stopped collecting back in 2001.:pimp: Everyone was talking about Steph giving Kobe the business the next day.

Now Starbury??

Lin's 38pts as a Knick over Kobe's alleged great defense was more impressive.

Kobe did an interview like last year or so where he mentions all these players giving him a difficult time but he gives Tmac the nod as the player he had the most trouble with.

Man... I've seen no name mufuhcas get career highs on Kobe.

He's too reckless and lazy on defense for the most part, the other times he just doesn't even play defense.

Remember when a role player, Jason Terry, looked like prime Drexler against Lebron for an entire series. It happened on the most important series, let alone one game, of that year.

Sounds like empty stats, Lebron can put up numbers but when it comes to the 4th quarter it's pretty sad. :oldlol:

Yep, before the 2002 zone defense changes.

Kobe hit the game-winner and dropped 38/8/5 with 4 less shot attempts and 4 less FTA

Kobe had the better game, as he hit the game-winner, though Marbury was amazing with the two threes at the end and some of those shots, but winning is everything and that's what Kobe does.

and here's what OP didn't want you to see, Kobe's highlights from the same game

Kobe was an average defender his whole career. I've seen about 700 Lakers games. Games where he was being lit up are common. But he just kept coming back. Yes his all nba defensive nods are a joke.

Marbury was actually an amazing talent, almost a legendary talent. His bball IQ was a little low though and his shot selection was terrible.

Starbury was my dude. He and McGrady were the only players I considered "favorites" that weren't Celtics players. Have his NJ, PHX, and NY jerseys still hanging in the closet.

Shame his talents didn't carry over when he came to Boston, but it's been great to see him tear it up in China.
