I am going to attempt to derail this thread.

Why do we call him Obama? Even in the media it's Obama. Not President Obama. I was too young to remember what it was like for President Clinton, but is it just a matter of sound? Obama sounds really good, where as Bush didn't? I could see myself just calling him Clinton back in the day if I were to do anything.

Or he tries to be more open so it's less informal?
