Surrounded by all the dumb BS on the front page of ISH, there's always a few threads that actually have good discussions. There's more average/good posters who aren't looking to troll here than trolls, but the trolls have more than one account and post far more threads making it look like there are more of them. A simple ban would clean this place up, but I don't think they care enough. Like you said, they like the traffic.

The banter is fun, but some of the hardcore stans take it too far, and are unable to post without attempting to further their agendas. All Net and some of the other mods did a great job cleaning up some of the agenda posting a few months ago, but it looks like it's too much trouble (I can't blame them...moderating sucks, and when they're understaffed and don't have the ability to temp ban, there's not much they can do except delete and lock the same repeated threads).

2) Derailing of every legitimate basketball conversation, with posters spewing rubbish they don't believe, just to support their claims.

I'm aware of the other sites, but there are some very good posters here that don't post elsewhere, so just leaving isn't really an option. I guess you have to do some legwork, but it shouldn't be a requirement to wade through a mile of shit to find some great conversation.
