I have a couple Gs to work with and am looking to make an investment to increase my cash flow..
I was thinking about getting into the English Bulldog breeding.. maybe buy a female bulldog for 2k and breed the fukk out of her and sell the babies for 1k each.. keep a female , and cycle it on ...
what yall think? Also would any female work or is there a way to test if a female dog can have babies ? Id hate to invest in a bulldog that cant reproduce..
I need some extra $$ bad bros

Become a Samoyed breeder. You could make anywhere from 4,000 to 10,000 per pup.

Yes. This sounds like a terrible idea. You're not going to make money since you don't know what you are doing and you're not going to see a return on your investment for a while. English Bulldogs are difficult to breed and dog breeding is in no way a way to make quick money.
Why I would I pay good money to get a dog from you when you have zero experience and zero track record. How do I know my dog won't have health problems.
I just went to Google and typed in "problems breeding."
And the very first suggestion it gives is "problems breeding english bulldogs."

Not a good idea. You will lose money and get stuck with bunch of dogs. Then you have to do a fire sale and guess who comes to fire sales, people that shouldn't be owning a dog. They will buy your litter and try to do the same shit. It is a scummy business.
These guys that do it are legitimate breeders and that is their profession. Even some of these professionals run into problems. This business is a business built on longevity and proven track record.
Your best bet is to wait in line at Foot Locker, buy a bunch of Air Jordans and flip it. Kids are doing it these days seeing as you don't have much cash flow to start for any real investment.

I can't remember the breed, but my friend's parents are one of the rarest dogs in the World and there are only like 4 or 5 male dogs in the U.S. that are able to breed with her.
Anywho, she just had some puppies are they are selling for around $2000.

Breeders are the scum of the Earth. The last thing we need is more, especially if it's you.

c'mon now. There are plenty of reputable breeders who genuinely care about their dogs. Some are sh*t heads, but let's not act like some old couple breeding golden retrievers are on par with animal abusers and dog fighters.
Breeding should never be done for money, and the vast majority don't make money doing it.

Most breeders are doing it for money and making money. Especially the shitty ones, and to top it off we don't ever need to breed a single more dog or cat.

If a non-dog owner is looking for a family member and not a pure worker dog, I wish more people would go to pounds and shelters to adopts pets more often. Every time I hear about someone saying "I want this dog because I like how they look." I think about all the poor dogs that get euthanized because they're unwanted. :(

I had a friend say they wanted a Beagle to buy and I said, "Why not adopt one?" and they replied, "Well, I already looked they have none in the area." And I pulled out my phone and within 5 minutes I found two Beagles 1-2 years old within a 10 mile radius of where we were, and her reply, "I want to get one as a puppy." and I said, "Oh, why is that?" and she said, "So I can raise them from a puppy."

Not against breeding if the breeders care about the animals and the purpose of the breeds personally. I just dislike the ones that do it under the table and for the money only without any compassion. There's no telling what the buyer is getting into buying from someone who doesn't give a shit except for the dollar.

Unfortunately I wasn't talking to you.
Just as many dogs are purchased through breeders as any other means (sickening), meanwhile we euthanize over a million dogs a year in addition to rescues being in more need of a home. Moreover, rescue and adopted dogs are generally much healthier in both the immediate future and the long term due to inbreeding depression.
There's no justification for it and it's completely irresponsible to do so. You can find a mixed rescue that looks like a purebred for any type of dog you want.

It's a public forum, you post to everyone even if you don't want to.

I rescued a dog. A mini golden doodle. Never thought I'd ever want one but I love the little bit(h.
Blame pop culture for people being breed specific. Maybe if Bieber or Arianna rescued dogs it would be a trend

No, not really. Just because you read something does not mean it was addressed to you.

He has a point though. We have too many stray dogs and cats as it is, we don't need to breed more. Mutts are great dogs.

nothing wrong with raising a dog from a puppy. It's not ignorant to want a dog with a clean slate no baggage issues. My wife's family adopted a 1 year old from the shelter with serious issues, my sister adopted two from shelters, both around 5 years old. One was fine, other was clearly abused by men. Dog was fine around her and the female staff but freaked the F out whenever a male came near her.
you can fault someone for wanting to buy a dog from a shady backyard breeder over rescuing one from the shelter, but i don't really fault people for wanting a puppy over an adult dog.

i thought about this, and i think the only way to justify people who buy dogs/cats that are bred, is if they don't have enough time to spend with their pets, especially if they have youngling in the family.
and as to why they'd even still get a pet from the first place, I think it has something to do just with the benefits of learning about animal behaviors as well as having a pet around.

I own a cat and a dog, both of which I rescued off the street myself.
Yes, yes, I know I'm awesome...taking care of the animals that other morons where unable to take care of.
