Think about that for a second. Not one, not two, but TWENTY-EIGHT nationally televised games that will be boring ass blowouts. Who on earth really wants to watch this terrible team get beat when those timeslots could have been used on much more competitive matchups?

And you wonder why Kobe is the highest paid player in the game.

Pure and utter greatness.

I think MJ on the Wizards had a lot of nationally televised games too. This situation is very similar.

Or because Laker fans are a bunch of fair weather bandwagoners who refuse to watch their team unless their all time leading chucker is on the floor. What an embarrassing fanbase. :facepalm

To be fair it's hard to watch teams that suck. I didn't watch half the games I normally did the year LeBron left. It was torture sometimes. When we drafted Irving at least it was entertaining to lose. :oldlol:

why are the haters so upset?

at least this way, you can actually watch the games before you come on here to criticize and troll, rather than just looking at the box score and coming on here to blindly troll.

Do we really need to explain why Lakers are on TV so much? You have one of the most amazing talents in the history of the league ready to play and people want to see him. It's that simple.

Talking about Jeremy Lin, of course....

They're just jealous because even in our down years with an over the hill Kobe we're still a box office draw. :oldlol:

does OP know that its about popularity. and not actual level of play. its a business and the lakers/kobe are 2 of the absolute biggest brands in the entire universe.

and they just added jeremy lin for god sakes. a chinese player whos actually talented playing on LOS ANGELES... this will be even more crazy than when he played on the knicks.

if anything the lakers should have more. like around 40

Lin will be the western conference starting AllStar PG.

How embarrassing. We had this discussion last season when we thought Lin would make the ASG as a 6th man, and how awkward that must make him feel making it over much more deserving players.

With or without Kobe Lakers will always get televised games. Even the Lakers got a lot of televised games after Magic retired. And the early 90's Lakers sucked.

It was embarrassing and unwatchable how many Knick and laker games they showed last season on ABC and ESPn. Please show good teams. I would have preferred to have watched the Raptors, T-Wolves, Kings, etc..more fun to watch. We want to watch teams that are fun to watch..not boring horrible teams but have large fan bases.

I think the Lakers will be must see tv.

Every night we're gonna tune in to see if Swaggy P is murdered.

I think it's gonna be like an amazing train wreck. My biggest fear is that they'll be perfectly mediocre. That would suck.

:biggums: Not true in the slightest. Their local TV ratings last season were about half of what they were in the 2012-13 season. Nobody wants to watch the Lakers unless they are winning, not even their own "fans"
