There is one behind you right now. Don't turn around or it will possess you.

No. It's just BS created to scare kids who are not following their elders' orders so that kids will be their slave to always obey what they tell them to do.
Grandma: hey can you buy me chips in the grocery, If you don't a ghost will haunt you in your sleep.
Kid: okay grandma.

I didn't believe in the paranormal until me and my friends experienced it during the wake of one of our friend's mom. so yeah, I'm a firm believer now. :lol

I've seen a ghost. But it must have been a hallucination. Otherwise I've been haunted by Abraham Lincoln, and I don't know why he'd fvck with me.
You know what you did :coleman:

No but a small part of me believes in ghosts. It's more fun to allow yourself the indulgence of believing in spiritual ideas than to strictly adhere to one philosophy or idea.

No, especially not in the sense that there are these beings that are closing doors, rustling curtains, and making a room chilly. Like if these ghosts have the ability to manipulate their environment why can't they manipulate a pen and write a note?

probably because its either real hard for them to do, or they don't generally even care about us to do that, only some may be pissed or care.
i know i saw some explanation like that in some movie. think it was Ghost or something.
not saying i believe, my mind is still open and i believe a little, sort of want to believe otherwise the world is pretty boring without any supernatural shit to it.

We used to hear one or more than one in my aunts house in NY.
They had old wood panel flooring and you could hear whatever it was walking in the hallways late at night. Back and forth back and forth.
Now can I tell you exactly what it was? No. But I do believe something supernatural exists and we are in an infancy stage of determining what it is all about.

Stuff at my house moves around by itself. I dont see it happen but stuff wont be where I left it. Little household items, for no apparent reason.
Why do ghosts do this? Why cant the ghost in my house give me the winning lottery numbers?

I believe in paranormal things. I've had too many personal experiences not to believe in it. Whether it is the spirit of a being or some entity messing with me there's something out there. Philippines has a ton of shyt going on there.

Reminds me about my ex telling me about her dog that died when she was younger. He had a collar bell thing that made a very distinct sound. Her and her family heard it going up and down the stairs at night for weeks after he died.

Personally I'm skeptical.
Although my Dad and a few of his brothers have a couple of pretty crazy stories which they all witnessed, mainly revolving around a fishing house they have in Sligo and the bronze age burial mounds that dot the fields nearby. It's a pretty cool place and very old.

Yes, what you call ghosts are souls of the dead. Basically when you die suddenly, you won't know that you are dead unless you see your own dead body. You'll continue with your daily activities without realizing that you are dead. That's why there are ghosts, they are souls who don't know that they are already dead.

I'm not a fim believer nor a pure skeptic, I've seen some shit I couldn't explain and too many family members have experienced shit to totally blow it off as figments of our imaginations. I'm on the fence, per s

Closest experiences I've gotten in relation to ghosts or supernatural happenings would be night terrors or sleep paralysis. You wake up and you're aware of your surroundings slightly, but you can't move your body or open your eyes and your heartbeat picks up to over 150 per minute and you get sketch images and a panicking feeling like you're being possessed or something.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis
I've had this occur twice in my life and when I get it I'm aware that I'm awake and I know my wife is beside me, I sense her, but I can't open my eyes or move anything, I can only slightly control my breathing, I get a panicking feeling, my heart races and I get images of a white face/figure
Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon in which a person, either when falling asleep or awakening, temporarily experiences an inability to move. It is a transitional state between wakefulness and sleep characterized by complete muscle atonia (muscle weakness). It is often associated with terrifying visions, such as an intruder in the room, to which one is unable to react due to paralysis, from which the term "nightmare" is derived. One theory is that it results from disrupted REM sleep, which is normally characterized by complete muscle atonia to prevent the sleeper from acting out his or her dreams. Sleep paralysis has been linked to disorders such as narcolepsy, migraines, anxiety disorders, and obstructive sleep apnea; however, it can also occur in isolation.[1][2] When linked to another disorder, sleep paralysis commonly occurs in association with the neurological sleep disorder
