Kobe is currently 592 points behind Jordan. If he plays in every game and averages 21 ppg, that would put him at 588 points going into the Bulls game. If he averages 20 ppg, that would put him 32 points behind.
Sportjames23, poido123, dengness9 any comments?:oldlol:

Lol @ thinking that the NBA tried their best to place him vs the Bulls where he'd break MJ's scoring record.

Both Kobe and MJ will be surpassed by the King when he retires.

So satisfying to know that.:D

that would be pretty cool. I have a feeling Kobe will have passed him by then though. He'll most likely average higher than 21 ppg, although they might rest him in the early season B2Bs so he may play less games or minutes earlier in the season. who knows.

We all know nobody is passing Kobe on the all-time bricks/misses list.:lol

But props to him for keeping up that chucking to such a degree.

you know lebrons already 30 right?

and just because kobe played 20 years ( maybe more ) doesnt mean everyone else will

kobe should realistically retire with 35,000 points if he doesnt sign another contract

assuming he retires after 2 years

but he may very well sign another 1-2 year extension if he plays well his final year

then another 3000K over 2 years minimum and he's at kareems 38k mark

its not every day someone reaches 38k. only been done once before.

22 years isnt out of the question for kobe. not at all. he'd retire at age 39.. which isnt a long shot by any means.

i'm sure kobe wants to spite tim duncan and show he can play at that age too. regardless of the difference in mileage

as long as the lakers are dropping 20mill+ contracts on kobe. i see him staying.

and in 2 years i doubt the lakers will be so stacked that they wont need 20+ points from him

6/6 with the highest scoring playoff avg? Meltdown because Kobe played more games?

Nah. Good for him.

Nice try Dubeta.

This is ridiculous, there's a million different things that could happen and the chances of him passing it on this very game are probably like 10%.
