Anyone else think it's strange that this guy at age 55 still calls himself Magic? Media still calls him Magic. Don't ya think Earvin would have matured by now and tell people to refer to him by his first name? Nobody is going to confuse him with the other non-related Earvin Johnson who played in the NBA. Wilbon is the only one I hear refer to him by his first name.
You don't hear TV or Radio hosts say "up next we have Legend Bird" or "Microwave Johnson" or "Chocolate Thunder Dawkins"or Human Highlight Reel Wilkins"
