If he wasnt unlucky in that 4th Quarter game 7 in the 2000 WCF, and the game wasnt rigged....

Scottie Pippen Would have been a top 10 player ever. right?

NBA didn't want Pippen winning a ring by himself, as it would have destroyed Jordan's legacy.

No, Pippen isn't better than M. Malone, West, Baylor, Dr. J, Oscar regardless, and those guys are in the 10-15 range on most people's lists.

Well Pippen's coach took Damon Stoudamire out of the game and Portland collapsed offensively. He must have been in on the conspiracy.

He would be 7/7

Better than Jordan's 6/6

So maybe even GOAT??

Rigged...you can't rig the basketball when these guys couldn't buy a single basket in the 4th quarter, and how is Pippen top 10 or even top 15? So, he'd have 7 rings....Robert Horry has 7 rings...Pippen was maybe the 3rd best player on that Blazers squad behind Sheed & Sabonis. Winning a ring as the 3rd best player doesn't really add much to his legacy considering what he did on the Bulls.

Sheed or Sabonis would have won the FMVP, so Pippen would have been a sidekick on another ring....And as a matter of fact, I'm not even sure they would have beaten Indiana, who would have taken the Lakers to 7 games if Kobe didn't come back from injury and win Game 4 in OT without Shaq..Indiana beat LA by 30+ points in one of those games...Don't underestimate that team either. They had the best offense in the NBA that year by the numbers.

:biggums:

Pippen w/ the Blazers in '00: 12.5 PPG/6.3 RPG/5 APG (45% FG) [15/7/4 41% FG PO]

Robert Horry w/ Rockets in '94-'95: 10 PPG/ 5 RPG/ 3 APG (45% FG) [12/7/4 45% FG PO]

Kawhi Leonard w/ Spurs in '14: 12.8 PPG/ 6 RPG/ 2 APG (55.2% FG) [14/7/2 51% FG PO]

So if Pip would've somehow moved into the top 10 by winning a ring as the 4th option, where does Horry rank winning 2 championships putting up comparable numbers and Kawhi winning FMVP? :confusedshrug:

Just to clarify... this is a troll thread, yes?

So if any of those 60's Celtics players like Sam Jones, Heinsohn, Cousy, or Havlicek won a ring on another team, would that bump them into the top 10 as well?

Hondo won a ring and finals MVP (for a total of 8 rings and what should've been at least 2 finals MVPs) in '74 when all the original 60s Celtics were retired (no Russell, no Cousy, no Jones, no Heinsohn, etc). So it was basically a new team, just the same name. And he did this as the first option putting up 23/6/6 (46% FG) in the regular season, 27/6/6 (48% FG) in the playoffs, and 26/8/5 (43% FG) in the finals while taking out Kareem/Big O's Bucks in 7 games.

If being a 4th option on a championship team makes you top 10 all time, then my main man Hondo has an excellent case for GOAT

No. Scottie would still be among the top 20-25 players of all time. Rigged? Come on now. Did you watch the game? Portland became a jump shooting team the last 9 minutes of the game. And when Portland did shoot a close range shot, they missed.

If the Blazers would've won, then Pippen would've been regarded as a role player.

I really think Jordan should've played a season or two after 98. Could've won an extra title or two.

They had the longer off-season in 98-99 anyway, so that would've been more time to relax.

By ISH "X of X in Finals, losing earlier than Finals doesnt matter and is more prestigious because you dont mess up your Finals win ratio" criteria, actually yes, GOAT.
