 this guy exudes charisma. Look at his ring mannerisms and physique back in the 1970's. Thoroughly entertaining gimmick. Had no idea that guy even existed. Looks like Rick Flair and Hulk Hogan studied and rode THIS guys wrestling creativity, doesn't it?

How old are you? For a guy who worships the past, I'm surprised by this. However, wrestling was more regional back then and if you weren't in the Northeast, you probably didn't hear of this guys.

I believe Hulk Hogan has mentioned that he studied Bill Graham. Jesse Ventura has admitted many times, he basically took all of Graham's act.

I'm 27, what does "worship the past" even mean? I enjoy learning about history, without it there is no context for the present. Basketball is one of the subjects I actively study history on, wrestling not so much as I'm not that big a wrestling fan so Billy Graham is new to me

Flair didnt steal his style. flair came in a few months after he did a thousand miles away. Flair came in trying to copy Dusty Rhodes. He asked Dusty if he could call himself "Rambling Ricky rhodes" and Dusty told him to go be the first Ric Flair not the next dusty.

Hogan however....superstar is the reason he got into wrestling. He mentioned it in his HOF speech.

Superstar was before his time. The first pro wrestler with that juicehead look, the crazy outfits, the personality. So many guys have knocked him off its rediculous.

Well you have a Nate Thurmond avatar, how did you first hear of him? I watched basketball through the 80's as a kid and the first time I heard his name mentioned was when they picked the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team

Some of those weights were ridiculous. Andre the Giant was listed at 500+lbs i believe.

Gorgeous George was the first back in the 1950s.
