Would 27/10/5 with a number 1 seed in the West get the job done? :confusedshrug:

So basically prime Shaq numbers (less rebounds more assists)

3 more points and 1 more assist a game than last season...not that unreasonable.

1. Be better than CP3
2. Improve his back to the basket game (he made major strides but can take it up one more notch IMO)
3. Improve that fadeaway/jumper
4. Top 3 seed at least

So basically prime Shaq numbers (less rebounds more assists)

Last year Blake put up 24/9.5/4.
Blake is a better passer than Shaq so it isn't out of the question for him to drop say, 25 or 26/10/4.5. I doubt he goes up one full assist, but damn it is impressive how close Blake's numbers are to Prime Shaq.

I love me some Ba-lack-ay, but last season was his peak.

27 points is actually a pretty big jump. I dont think he makes it.

Top 3 stats, outplay CP3 and get #1 in the west.

Clips gotta be a top 2 seed. San Antonio and OKC have been the top dogs for a while now..if he wants to be (consistently) taken seriously as an MVP candidate, he and the Clippers have to surpass one of those two teams, at least in the regular seasons standings. He also has to be the clear-cut best player on his team, has to be the #1 to CP3's #2.

There's just so many candidates this year too..KD and Lebron are probably the frontrunners, then you have Rose with his Bulls lurking, Blake, his teammate CP3, Steph Curry if the Warriors take the next step, maybe Lillard and Aldridge again, etc. Blake's got some serious competition, he has to have the numbers. Something like 26/11/4/1/1 on 50%+ shooting along with a top 2 seed (something like 59-62+ wins) would get it done imo. Unless one of those guys mentioned earlier goes plays out of their mind next year.

Score 3-4 more points, rebound the ball better, become a better defender, hope Pau drops off, get the top seed.

I expect further improvements from Blake this season (more consistent jumper, more refined post game). Couple that with CP's growing willingness to defer to Blake as the number 1 option and I don't see it being an unrealistic possibility.

If he played like 04 K.g.:lol

With Jordan en route to another 12+ rebound per game season, Blake's absolute peak for rebounds will most likely be 10-10.5.

I can see him adding another bucket a game as well as dropping his turnovers.

What'll help push him over the edge is if he can be more consistent throughout the whole season, and make more impact in the clutch.

It's going to be very difficult playing with CP3, because he's going to absorb a lot of the credit. I think the Clippers would have to alter their offense for Blake to really have a shot at MVP.

Lebron, Durant, Melo, Dwight....all of Team USA die in a airplane crash. CP3 go down with another knee injury? That should get the job done.

How the hell could you be MVP of the league if you can't even be MVP of your own damn team?

Unless CP3 shows a noticeable decline, he's the Clippers best player by far.

Stop overrating Blake. One great year and now he's better than CP3

Yup, because a 25 year old with an insane work ethic coming off a breakout season isn't going to continue improving and refining his game, right?

Stick to LeBron and reminiscing about T-Mac.

CP3 is the third best player in the league. And number four isn't Blake.

It's not wrong or right it's my opinion. Sorry if I stated it as fact, but I get tired of people underrating CP3 ("hurr Neva been past da second round doe!")

Trust me, I know how good CP is. He's the best PG in basketball.

The drop off last year from Paul to Collison wasn't as big as Griffin to Davis. therefor Griffin was more valuable to the Clippers.

I think 25-12-4, Chris Paul goes down for an extended period, or has a subpar season, and the Clippers get a top 2 seed.

27 ppg is a pretty big jump. The last big men to even average 27 ppg other than Shaq was Chris Webber in 01 and DRob almost 20 years ago. Not even Dirk has averaged 27 ppg.

He needs to start playing well in the playoff before he thinks about winning an MVP. Dude has been flat underachieving in the post season.

He's on a team with lots of scorers so he's not going to score 27 or more ppg. 23-25. His rebounding numbers should go up because he's a good rebounder but the way he plays now and playing with DJ does take a couple rebounds away from him. The assists could go up if the offense ran through him more, but they have CP3 who dominates the ball.

Improving he's defence would help too. But yes, he's a beast.
