Agree that his selfishness actually ended up costing him his career. However, I have to disagree with all the bold. AI was one of the fastest, most explosive dudes the league has ever seen. For defense, didn't he lead the league in steals a bunch of years? I know for sure he was always in the top 3. You referring to Kobe? Both Rose and Kobe are smarter at getting to the rim than AI was, both find more efficient shots for themselves and their teammates. AI is pretty much the Nick Young of superstars. A horrible chucker, who will only impact the game positively if his shot is on. I guess in AI's case he was good at getting to the passing lanes too, but he probably hurt his defense too by trying to grab a lot of steals on purpose.

AI is the most overrated player ever. When he was hot, he was up with the best of them, but his overall mentality and what he did on court and off court, I don't know how anyone can defend this man.

Fast is covering a large distance say 80 feet on a court. Quick is short distances and ability to go in another direction just as fast, usually mixing in lateral and forward speeds. Explosive is an acceleration that leaves others behind. I seen AI five times live. He is super quick and has a great first step. But he is visibly not as explosive or as fast as Rose.

If AI got calls like Durant he would have had seven scoring titles and teams would have been in love with him. It was amazing the contact he would take and just keep going. And rarely complained.

Rose's defense is vastly underrated. Nobody got off on him that whole MVP year. I rarely seen that from great defensive players. And I never seen any SG or any player period hold down a healthy Wade like Rose did. Team had great perimeter defense to boot. Everything that is a PG's defensive responsibility he excelled in.

AI wasn't bad at controlling a game but he was always a bit out of control. If teams wanted to run AI said fine, we'll run too. You rarely saw teams run on the Bulls and once they slowed the game down Rose could out execute the other team. When AI got hot he was unstoppable. Most great players do experience that once in their career. But Rose plays a very controlled game and might not experience that. AI did and looked as dominant as Shaq in that game. AI never got credit for his crazy fortitude and his not arguing with the refs on calls. Shame the commissioner didn't like him.
