I said this all last year, the Raptors don't get the rock to Valanciunas enough. They need to, he is their best post presence and he is very efficient around the rim. Sure, he isn't the kind of guy that is going to command double-team after double-team, but that can be an advantage, too, depending on the matchup. I think Toronto is a bit too perimeter oriented at times.

Let the big fella eat.

It's a hardly a major feat tbh. Friendly match, weaker opponent etc

For the raps to take the next step they need Val, and to a lesser extent, Ross, to emerge as consistent game changing contributors. I believe that Val can be a 16 and 10 guy with 2 blocks and 2 assists. That would probably put him in all-star discussions for the next decade or so. He has the tools and the drive. He has already earned the trust of Lowry. Derozen needs to look for him a lot more.

Ideal raps stats for scoring.
Lowry 16, Vaz 8
Derozen 20 Sweet Lou 7
Ross 15, JJ 7
Amir 8, Patterson 12
Val 16
I'm very happy with that 9 man rotation.

That's 105 points per game. The rest of the guys will be situational players.
Fields and Hamilton will play in case of injury, or specialty match-up. Same with Hayes, Handsbrough and Nogeiuro and Bruno.
