100 points.
Since 1955, there have been 30 players who have won this award (many multiple times.) There has been only one player to score 100 points.
Let me be by my self.

Is 100 like some Brandon Jennings shit or am I second tier star who scored a 100?
MVP because I've got my family to feed.

Is the 100 point game a complete fluke and I suck ass outside of it? Because an MVP season would pretty much guarantee me a fat contract..
The historical aspect of the 100 point game is cool and all, but I'll take the money.

This is an accolade. Yall are looking at this as a career talking future contracts and what not.
Everyone will remember 100 points. Who the hell remembers Bob McAdoo won MVP.

His family, friends, agent and personal bankers.
If the 100 point game is some fluke, like Brandon Jennings' 55 points, no thanks.
If it's something where I'm still a pretty good player, perennial All-Star, MVP caliber player, then yes, I'll take the 100 point game.

How can 100 points be a fluke? You're either a great enough scorer to do it, or you're not.

I'm pretty sure if you can score 100 points in an NBA game, you are probably a MVP candidate and will make good money at some point.

Yeah loool at fluke. And loool at not getting you paid. Basically you'd have to play big minutes, so you wouldn't be some bench warmer and... 100 points would get you just as much as an mvp. Id say a fluke mvp season is more likely than a fluke 100 points. In todays games teams barely get over 100. The ****ing net would crash, youd be a legend. Someone could say yea but what have you done since lol but it's like cmonson, you could walk up to any nba player and be like yea kinda like when I dropped 100 tho.

1 player has achieved the 100 point barrier whilst there have been many MVPs.

I would take the legendary 50 points triple double which, like the 100pt game, has only been done once in history by my GOAT Lebron James.

Wilt had a known 53-32-14 game, on 24-29 shooting, and there are even estimates that he had a QUIN-DOUBLE in that game.

One of the few Wilt "myths" I have not heard. Tell me more?
There have been like 50 MVPs but only one 100 pt-scorer. It's a no-brainer.

I'd aim for all of my teams FG's in a season, a hundred points is not enough.
So mvp.

Kobe has the highest scoring game ever recorded in the NBA and the highest scoring game by a wing player. Yet people say he did it against a bad team so it doesn't count & anyone could do it...

100 points in the modern era would make Blake Griffin look like he's not even shooting a commercial. lol @ MVP = contract = more money.
The sheer amount of companies trying to market your 100 points towards their advertisement would be absurd. Overseas included.
Not to mention cementing your name in the basketball world forever

MVP easily..
I don't know why people make that big a deal out of the 100 point game. Counting the times he was fouled while shooting Wilt probably put up 75 shots in that game. Yeah he scored more then anyone ever for one game, he shot a lot more.
Rarely have players ever gone out there with the attitude of screw the team I am going to score as much as I can, its all about me.
Look what Gervin and Thompson did the one game in their career they played with that in mind..
Not sure why people can't grasp this?

Yes, because winning an MVP wouldn't cement your name in basketball forever?
81 isn't 100, but does anyone honestly really give a shit about Kobe's 81 other than Lakers fans? It was fun and all in the short term. No one talks about it anymore (other than Kobe stans). Jordan's 63 is more famous than Kobe's 81, and that 81 is only the second time anyone has gone over 80 in the history of the NBA.
This feels like a, would you rather get 250 grand right now or 1 million over 20 years type of question to me.

On 3/18/68 against the Lakers, Chamberlain hung a KNOWN 53-32-14, 24-29 FG/FGA (5-10 FT/FTA) game. I didn't post the estimates because even I am skeptical, but here they are... 24 blocks, and 11 steals.
BTW, on 2/24/67, Chamberlain hung a 42-30-10, 18-18 FG/FGA (6-14 FT/FTA) game, with an "estimated" 12 blocked shots.

Eh depends. If it was 100 pts by Durant / Harden, I'd pick MVP. If 50 percent of your points came from FTs that's stupid as fcuk.
