My gf's friend named her kid the same name as my kid. They are about one month apart and we had the name picked out since we first found out.

A guy at work told his friend he would name his kid Ethan, and guess what, dude jacked the name.

My sister was talked out of naming her kid Evan by her friend. And then stole the name herself :bowdown:

My cousin told everyone she was going to name her son Mason. And her sisters friend gave birth two weeks before and took the name. My cousin kept the name by changed the spelling.

Unless it's something awesome. A buddy of mine from HS is a major pot head. His last name is Wana. He is going to name his first daughter Mary. Only downside is no one should breed with him

Honestly and genuinely though ... I always wanted to name a son or daughter of mine something unique but not something too retarded like that Australian couple did some years back like they named their son "Superman" followed by whatever last name; that is lame. And some of you might think what I'm going to do is lame, but if I have a boy, his name will be Legend. I think that's unique, and isn't too left field to be considered something like 'OMG why did they name their baby that' ... I think it would receive questions from people but not in a negative manner, more interesting ... like 'why or what made you think of naming him Legend?' ... I think it would receive more compliments than any type of negative reactions.

Legend is abstract for a name, but it isn't disrespectful and it sounds nice. If anyone doesn't like the idea or thinks it's retarded, I guess that'll have to be their opinion. The only thing that would matter is is my son grew up and said to me and his mother 'why did you name me Legend! I hate it!' ... that would hurt and I would feel bad. I seriously doubt that would be any type of reaction a song of mine would relay back to his father. The way I'd raise my son, he'd be happy with his name. Nothing more. Nothing less. It's a done deal though. No matter what his future mother thinks; done deal.
