For posters who have lived in Canada and the US which do you like better?

This is just pure curiosity on my part.

On the side note, I do have a lot of relatives from the Toronto area especially the GTA area for those who know what that is.

Canada is pretty terrible.

US is marginally less terrible.

The best American cities are way better than the best Canadian cities. But the worst ones are way, way worse.

So... Average city: Canada might win. But I would rather live in the U.S.

For the rich America is where it's at but the average person probably has it a bit better in Canada. That is a somewhat simplistic view but generally true. Basically Canadians get almost all the perks of being American without all the BS that comes with it.
