Ditto RT @DanBarreiroKFAN: What I expect by end of day Sat: Love, Shved, LRMAM, No. 1, 4 Wiggins, Bennett, TYoung, cap except. 3-team deal.By the time Krawzynski is reporting it, it usually means it is accurate. Home run haul for Flip Saunders:applause:

Really considering Minnesota might be able to be in the conversation in a short term future.

Who is LRMAM and where Shved will be headed? Philly or Cavs?

Who gets Shved? Really like his game. And what the hell does LRMAM mean?

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. Who else has a name that long?

It's Miami's first.

Sixers. All reports are that the only player going to the Cavaliers in the trade is Love. That could be changed or mis-reported though.

So the trade would go like this:
Cavs trade: Wiggins, Bennett, 1st
Cavs get: Love
Wolves trade: LRMAM, Shved, Love
Wolves get: Wiggins, Bennett, Young
Sixers trade: Young
Sixers get: LRMAM, Shved, 1st
?
Seems like a pretty poor trade for the Sixers if that is the case.

From what I understand...
Cavs
get: Love
Give: Wiggins, Bennett, 1st
Wolves
get: Wiggins, Thad Young, cap space
give: Love, Shved, Mbah a Moute
Sixers
get: Shved, Mbah a Moute, 1st
give: Thad Young

If that's true, Philly gets robbed and Minnesota gets away with one of the best deals in a loooooooooong time.

Note the "4" in the middle, that means "for".
So the first part is what the Wolves give up, and the second part is what the wolves get.

No they don't.
So why does Philly trade their best player for absolutely nothing? Get outta here, there is no way Philly would trade for a late first round pick, Shved and the Prince. That's nonsense and u know it.

Tanking?
Though, makes no sense to take on crap salaries.

Then why don't you explain this whole scenario for the rest of the people? Which teams get who.

So Philly gives up their best player and doesn't get anything in return? Is that plausible? Am I missing something? It says 3 team deal, I can only imagine Philly would receive an asset if giving up Thad Young in a trade.

I guess, if you're seeing it from solely the T-Wolves perspective. You shouldn't say "___ for ___" in a 3 team deal though. That wording would insinuate a 2 team deal to me and still sheds zero light on where Love, Shved, Mbah a Moute and the 1st are going. (We know where Love is going, but the tweet doesn't say) :confusedshrug:

By the time Krawzynski is reporting it, it usually means it is accurate. Home run haul for Flip Saunders:applause:
If Minnesota is getting Wiggins, Bennett, Young and cap relief for a star who was leaving in a year anyway, Shved and Moute, Flip Saunders deserves the ultimate "Turning Horribly Sour Lemons Into the Most Delicious Lemonade Ever" award.
Seriously, is there even a semi-contemporary trade that approaches that kind of value for a player (any player) on the last year of his deal? I'm genuinely curious, because I can't think of anything even close. Only the most absurd combination of extraordinary circumstances colliding at the perfect time made this possible, but a tip 'o the hat to Flip Saunders.
He pulled it off. Amazing trade for the Timberwolves. They somehow received multiple 50-cent pieces on the dollar for an unhappy star with one foot out the door.
Flip Saunders... the anti-David Kahn.
PS: I'm shocked the Cavs are giving up this much and are receiving only Love in return. Stunning. You can't say the Cavs are getting robbed because they're getting arguably the best PF in the NBA at 25... but it is a surprisingly "fair deal," which never happens under the these circumstances. And, what is Philly thinking?

Sixers get Bennett.
That was mis-reported in the beginning, about week or so ago. Bennett is going to Minnesota along with Young and Wiggins.

I agree with practically everything you said here. That's just too unbelievably good of a deal for Minnesota, and too unbelievably bad of a deal for Philly to believe that's how the trade is going down. I'm just going to wait until it's official. :oldlol:

I don't care if Minny gets Bennett or not. I'm not sold on him. As long as they get Young, then Minny will be one hell of a team to watch.

This is just incredible for the TWolves. This kind of return just isn't supposed to happen for teams whose stars who are hell bent on leaving. If/when this goes down, they would've went from a middle of the pack, totally irrelevant team with a disgruntled star player to one of the most exciting young teams with a legitimate championship ceiling with a bit of good fortune.
Rubio
Lavine
Wiggins
Bennett
Dieng
That core has some serious potential, they could be contending in 3-4 years. Flip needs to forget the playoffs this upcoming year..it's not happening. But he needs to give those 5 guys some serious burn, needs to start the individual and collective development as soon as possible. It's gonna piss off guys like Pek/Martin/etc and they'll be a 25-35 win team for a year or two..but it could be worth it in the long run.

If true it is a good deal for Minnesota considering the circumstances...
But for those who would make fun of Cleveland over "what they lost", the big picture of this trade for the NBA is simple:
- prior to this trade, Cleveland was a future contender. After this trade, Cleveland is a win-now contender, with enough firepower for a Finals run as early as next year, and the potential new big dynasty.
- prior to this trade, Minnesota was mediocre and headed nowhere. After this trade, Minnesota will be awful and possibly still headed nowhere, but for the first time in years, will also have a decent shot at becoming relevant again.

I don't get it.
Usually, in a "3-team deal" each team gives up an asset(s) and receives an asset(s) in return.
Minnesota fans think Philly is giving up their best player and literally receiving nothing in return? Wtf am I missing here? Someone explain.

I guess the idea is that the Sixers save money, since Shved + LRMAM makes less than Young, and they both only have one year left on their contract. Also Philly would get a 1st round pick from the Cavs.
I still think it would make more sense if Bennett goes to the Sixers, but I guess crazier things have happened.

Philly couldn't get something better for Young than a presumably late 1st and two expirers?
