Eh.. everything is overpriced in Monaco. A shitty apartment in New York would cost millions.. all to get that coveted tax exemption.

Monaco is like billionare paradise for rich kids. The Rich Kids of Instagram webpage has ton of kids posting pics in Monaco every summer. It's pathetic how Monaco is that expensive tbh. That apartment is not worth near $400 million. That French villa that is worth about $525 million is wayy better than this and IMO my favorite property in terms of outside an urban area.

While the New York Times in 2008 reported that it cost $50-70 million, it is believed to be worth $1 billion USD, due to the rising costs of surrounding structures currently in South Mumbai. As of 2014, it remains World's most expensive residential property, as rated by Forbes Magazine.[8]

I guess the article in the OP is wrong

First of all, I wouldn't live in that property. Would I love to own it? Sure but you can bet I would put it out on the market and sell it. I have a fear of heights and I don't like the idea of living so high off the ground. Not to mention structures like that sway. No thank you.

I have the most legit to 'Do not want.'

This pisses me off. The nation has so many flaws in it's government and tons of corruption. Even if this money was made legitimately, they are so many ppl in India who need help. Is it this necessary to flaunt your money? Can't you just be more charitable?

It is his money bro. Something that he worked hard for and you want him to give it away. That is a very liberal way of thinking things.

I'm all for people living like this IF they are also doing lots of charity work...

the guy that owns this home, Mukesh Ambani, is not very charitable it turns out...there are articles out that touch on that.

Are India's rich charitable? Not very, study shows (http://www.reuters.com/article/2010/03/23/us-india-philanthropy-idUSTRE62M0M620100323)

If Gates or Warren Buffett want to live in a house made of gold that is fine by me...both give billions to charity and take it extremely seriously

Indians (who were born and raised in India) are by in large are very selfish and have a hard time admitting they're wrong or admitting their weaknesses etc.

My family is from northern India and there are known corrupt millionaires that aggravate me.

Are we all agreeing that Indians are scum?

Not just the filthy rich. The middle class thinks this way. It is equal across the board.

You buy cheap you get cheap. Indians are not known for that marvel engineering. I would be more worried of a collapse.
