The scary part is that it's not just them..

Rubio
Lavine
Wiggins
Bennett
Dieng

Minny has a sick young core now..they could be contenders in 3-4 years.

I honestly don't see it with Lavine. Whenever I saw him in college he was always lost and/ or playing half-hearted ball. I get where people see the potential, I mean explosive ridiculous athlete; but from I've seen of him he reeks more of a Gerald Green caliber guy than anything else. Hopefully I'm wrong and he becomes Penny Hardaway with more vert and range. Wouldn't that be a sight to see for a basketball fan.

All the greats loved to be challenged like that. Having pretty much the perfect basketball body (yes homo) helps too.

I won't say anything about your mormon because being from Chicago I'll be too biased.

DWade would have been a better Goomba, unless I'm missing the reference. Wouldn't even need to photoshop to enlarge the jaw.

Zach Lavine is nothing special. Gerald Green 2.0. Rubio still can't shoot or finish at the rim. Wiggins has a high ceiling, but questionable whether he will reach that. That core is lottery bound.

It is going to be interesting to see how all of these additions play out. On paper, we have a chance in Minnesota to have a team that can be a playoff team. A lot depends on how well everyone adjusts and develops. We need a dominate player with a solid two player and a set of great role players. Timberwolves could be making some noise in a few years.

Only Wiggins has the potential to be an outstanding prospect. I don't see the rest being all that great. Plus, it's Minnesota's management that should be the real question mark.

Sure, they made the trade... but they were going to probably get a return of something. We have to yet to see them draft and build a good team through it. They've often made picks that were terrible and passed upon really good players. Then there's the coaching and how these players are going to fit in. Free agency wise, Minnesota would have to change their entire culture to have anyone serious come over there to play.

So it's really on how they draft, which again, has been woefully bad.

This is what i don't get, they couldn't build around kg, couldn't build around love and now people think they will put a playoff team around wiggins? if he even pans out? history tells us other wise. seven years from now prime wiggins will be without any playoff appearances and headed to the raps.
