Yes. Pek is a top 5 center in the league.

Rubio a top 10 PG.

Martin a top 5 shooter.

Wiggins and Lavinr are both top 5 prospects.

Are you high ?

They have a lot of potential, but next year they might be the 2nd worst team in the league (noone can beat Sixers for #1).

That was just off the top of my head. I'd probably throw Kemba Walker and Jrue on the list as well.

Wait so that other dude made a list of 11 pg's that are better than Rubio to disprove your point and then you proceed to add another pg to his list making your claim look even more ridiculous? :oldlol: what a tard.

Wolves definitely won the trade. They still suck but Rubio now has a chance to mold the team into something special. Rubio is definitely among the top handful of PGs.

They had a great offseason but this core will need at least 2-3 years before they can think about the playoffs.

Anyone thinking Lavine is going to be good this year especially has another thing coming. Kid was too raw to contribute in college, he's not nearly ready for the NBA.

Rubio/Mo
LaVine/Martin (either or)
Wiggins/Budinger
Thad Young/Bennett
Pek/Dieng

That's a solid lineup with some good depth. I could see 40 wins from this team is they find the right formula.

I can't see LaVine starting over Kevin Martin.

Also, you forgot Mo Williams.

:oldlol: We wont be close to the second worst team. Love isn't worth 20 wins. We will be lottery bound but an estimate of around 30 wins is where we will end up.

They have one player who has the potential to be great and the rest are either replaceable or unknown.

I don't even see this potential of being great in the future.

LaVine has the potential to be decent. But the only problem is that Pekovic is making 12 million a year through 2018, and that'll be a hard contract to dump.

I also don't see Minny resigning Rubio, which will leave a gaping hold at PG and a potential spot for a good free agent signing. Free agents will be more likely to come if Wiggins becomes a star.

I honestly doubt free agents will come for just one player, even if he's that great. Kevin Garnett was at one point the biggest superstar in the game and the best players alongside him came through trade, Cassell and Sprewell... and they were already over 30+ years old.

Minny has terrible track record of drafting and losing culture. It needs more than just Wiggins becoming a star to work. The track records have to change, especially the drafting.

A team with a roster full of role players isn't stacked. A team with 3 Superstars in their prime is a stacked team.

I say Kobe had an 11 year prime and you call me crazy. And now you're saying a 40 year old man is still in his.

Cavs are stacked. No excuses, especially since their biggest competition comes from a guy who hasn't played NBA basketball in two years.

I agree.

But Lavine and Wiggins have ENORMOUS potential.

Nastradamus

They can't be stacked because they lack a star, IMO. They are a very deep, talented and young roster though. Pekovic is underrated, Dieng was beasting at the end of last year, Wiggins and Lavine have very high ceilings and Rubio is a very good all around PG who the advanced stats love. He isn't efficient, but he makes his teammates more efficient and plays elite D. Best other than Bledsoe at PG.

They'll need Wiggins and/or Lavine to really become studs to have a shot at being anything though. Thad was a great add. He's no Love, but he was the closest they could have gotten.

-SmakWell 2k doesn't take into account intangibles like heart, IQ and leadership so I'm probably going to take Lavine almost every chance I get. Athletic guards and 3 point shooting is so cheese on that game.

Also I feel Pek needs an Ibaka type anchor at pf to win. He's too immobile with a short wingspan to be a huge impact at center.
