I'm gonna be working out in SoCal for a couple months in 2015. I really want to catch the Cavs/Clippers game:

http://www.stubhub.com/los-angeles-clippers-tickets/los-angeles-clippers-los-angeles-staples-center-1-16-2015-9106863/

Any tips on seating? I don't want to really spend more than $400, especially since a couple friends are going too. I was looking at the sections like 114, 117, 108, 105, etc.

What would you guys recommend? Are the corner seats worth it, or should I avoid? I've only been to 1 NBA game, and it was in the very back, so I don't know how to go about picking the right sections.

I personally enjoyed the "PR" seatings the best, more roomy, don't have to leave your seat besides to shit and piss and good view of the whole CouRT.

Which ones are PR seats?

FYI, I want seats where I can see the players pretty damn well. I want to get a good perspective of just how big/fast these dudes are

Considering Oaktown too, but it looks like similar seating is more expensive for the Warriors/Cavs game

Back, when we stunk, around 08, I used to get text messages and get in for free, seating in the 200s.

I remember one game, versus Sac, I sat five rows off the court for $25. It was the game where Beno OBLITERATED us.

Still looking for answers on this. The single digit seats aren't that close, and are expensive as ****.

clippers seats are cheap compared to lakers seats...

that being said.. staples has great viewing angles from nearly everywhere. not many bad seats in the house. you should be able to get great seats in the premiere seating (PR) which certainly have the added bonus of having people that bring you food and drinks and terrific views of the floor ... or in the lower seating areas. the corners are ok, even behind the backboards on the court are okay... but if you're gonna spend the cash, definitely go for sections 110, 111, 112 or 101, 102 and 119.

you should be able to purchase the premiere seating from season ticket holders, you can't buy them from the normal box office.

staples is a great place to watch a game. enjoy!

What is the benefit of the premiere seating? It seems like it's further away

it's actually not that far. it is second tier but it affords a really great view of the entire floor. It has seat-side service so you can order your food and drinks instead of having to wait in lines (which can be long). and they're of course less money than the 110, 111, 112, 101, 102, 119 seats which are the best sections to sit in. 102 would be behind the visitor's bench, 119 behind the home team's bench.

I've sat at 107/109 and 207/209 and personally preferred the 200s a bit better.

Interesting. What were the reasons why? I personally don't care bout getting food faster, or quick access to bathrooms. I really want to see some good action like LeBron and Griffin dunking on fast break. I was reading that the corner seats aren't ideal for watching the game. Why is that?

I'd go with the seats behind either basket, easier to see spacing IMO. Lower end 107, 115 and 116 are $316 and $317, while lower end 106 is $303. You won't get floor or baseline seats for $400

Possibly. The only thing is the basket kind of obstructs the view a little bit right?
